View Full Version : Taxpayer-Funded Amtrak Releases Ads Targeted For Gay Couples
Taxpayer-funded Amtrak has released a new ad campaign targeted for gay and lesbian couples.
The “Ride With Pride” program encourages couples to go to gay-friendly destinations, like Martha’s Vineyard, on its website.......
Ride with pride. Okie dokie.
This is the same Amtrack that has lost $834 Million on concessions. ('http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/03/us/politics/amtrak-lost-834-million-on-food-in-last-decade-audit-finds.html')
Given that every other business I've ever read about rely on it's food and drink for high-margin profit, Amtrak is not on the right track.
Great. Take a government funded .org thats losing money hand over fist, and target your ad dollars at the all-important 3% of the population.
folks, the drain plug on the treasury is long gone lost...
Let me make sure I understand. It's ok for the government to fund an ad campaign that targets the alternative lifestyle minority but a private individual is labeled as homophobic and accused of discrimination because he states his personal beliefs on gay marriage? Seems like discrimination to me but I'm a white, heterosexual male so who would listen to what I say.
