A shooting at Sikh temple in the Milwaukee suburb of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, on Sunday, left at least three people wounded and one gunman killed by a police officer, authorities said.

The officer was wounded but "returned fire, and that shooter was put down," said Bradley Wentlandt, the police chief in nearby Greenfield, who briefed reporters. Wentlandt called it "an ongoing and very fluid situation."

My thoughts to those affected.

Any minute now we’ll begin to feel the vibrations of people jumping to conclusions.

I just found out about it, I hope the police officer pulls through and makes a full recovery. I am sorry for the families of those involved. my phone already blew up with text messages from someone I know saying we need more gun control.

Now its being treated as "domestic terrorism"...
Then the shooter was probably a mentally-retarded, FBI-trained patsy, who slipped through their fingers before they were able to "keep us safe".

Yeah I love how so far they can't comment on ANYTHING yet because the investigation "is just getting started" but they can quickly call it "terrorism".

Amazing.

I live in a nearby community with family living near there. The temple is non-descript, blends in with the area and does not disturb the surrounding population. My personal feeling is this gunman thought that because of their dress, they are muslim and struck out at them for some reason known only to himself. very mis-guided and evil. may God bless them and our courageous police officers:wavey:

You just can't trust veterans. He was dischrged 14 years ago and hasn't held a job since. So he isn't a former restraunt worked, land scaper, or currently employed as a maintence man, mechanic, or any other occupation.

This just goes to show that Janet numbnuts is correct that all the millions of veterans need to be carefully watched.

I really do hate the media. (Chief USN retired)

It has not been called "Domestic Terrorism".
It is being looked at to see if it may be "Domestic Terrorism".

So Instant tin foil :tinfoil: material :

Besides the multiple shooters reported early on, the shooter was dishonorably discharged in 1998 having last served at Bragg in a Psychological Operations unit. He was said to be a white supremacist who played in white power bands. He had to have known what he was doing and made a choice to specifically target the Sikhs.

I have to admit, that Psych Op Unit thing does have a weird Star Chamber feel to it.

But a guy with white supremacist tats who was out of work, had just broken up with his girlfriend, and was undoubtedly p1$$ed at the world, would seem to have all the ingredients for trouble in its own right.

Where do you think they find Americans that are not white supremacists willing to die to bring discredit on white supremacists, which are already pretty much universally condemned already?

I'm seeing the glint of tinfoil here.
