I found a used stainless Dan Wesson Valor w/box for $1179. It looks great, except for some very slight surface rust. Very minimal. Most likely due to greasy fingers of store patrons (saw the same thing on a Ruger SR1911 in another shop). I may be able to talk the price down a little. From what I can find on Gunbroker and various forums, it looks like a good price. I tend to prefer black/dark guns though.

I was originally looking at a MC Operator, TRP, and Colt Rail Gun, but did not expect to see this at this price. What opinions do you have?

The surface rust is on the muzzle end of the slide, but is so slight, my camera phone did not pick it up.

I'd be tempted at that price. Maybe you should try to get it for that out the door?

I'd offer $1100.

I think that's a deal, unless it's a blem model.

They would not negotiate, so I passed for now. I am looking at a new Colt Custom Carry Government right now. It has most of the features I want, and it is a decent price. I am not comparing the two against each other. I think the CCG is more close to what I was looking for.

I will check back on the Valor in a week or so, and see if they are still singing the same tune. If not, I will give it another look.
