What say you GTer's.Is this a decent deal.Glockmeister has Gen 2 G19's (B grade)for sale for $385.I think I'm gonna order me one tomorrow.Apparently they show some general wear so I'm planning on sending it off to Cold Bore Customs and having the full treatment done on it.I've never liked the finger humps on the 19 and I see the Gen 2's don't have it.http://http://glockmeister.us1.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=20aa4521e9e93d5f969610c49&id=e9e8ead3b0&e=40a38b4a78

Oh I'm gonna. I'm just kinda surprised no one else finds this interesting, especially with all the Gen 4 haters(not me I like 'em).
I was thinking $385 was a good price too.
I'll post a range report when I get it.

I bought one 3 weeks ago locally for $370, so you're in the ball park and will enjoy it.

$385, plus shipping, plus dealer transfer fee puts it more in the $425-$450 range.

Really not that good of a deal. When you can get a NIB for under $500 pretty easily.

No it's free shipping and there is an LGS next door to where I've worked for a long time who'll do the transfer for $10.

I see what you're saying though.$385 plus transfer fee does change it a little.

I was going to stop by Glockmeister on my home from work today but yesterday I was able to pick up a nice Gen 2 G19 for $300 at the Crossroads of the West Gunshow at Cardinals Stadium.

As reference I paid $400 for a Gen 2 19 with 3 mags and a lasermax guide rod. Came with box and goodies as well as factory spring. That was last year at a gun show.

I say if it is good for you then go for it! A little TLC and it'll be as good as new.

There will always be someone out there that can get a better deal. But, I rarely find any used Glocks below $400.00 at local used gun dealers. I would probably have better luck in a bigger city:dunno:

Interesting. I've been trying to find older Gen 3s (especially 19s with the Black finish) but these 19s or some other Gen 2 might fit the bill. Thanks.

I know it sounds crazy but it's the truth. This state is crazy with all the restrictions on new Glocks so the old ones are worth a fortune.

Well here it is in all it's glory, or not.It has a lot of holster wear but the inside looks good.It was a Massachuesetts police trade in so I got two 10 round mags with it.It also had a NY1 trigger spring.Whatever cop had it couldn't shoot. The rear sight is moved all the way to the right,to the point that it hangs off the side.I guess so with the (measured) 8.8# trigger pull.I still have to clean the adhesive off the frame where there was some decal grips.I'll probably have it cerakoted soon and add a set of those new "Speed Sights".

I got a similar one from AIMS early this year and think I got a good deal especially since it doesn't fling fired cases back into my face. Enjoy your new to you Gen 2 Glock 19.:wavey:

I've saw that on glockmeister too. I've been thinking about getting one. You know the cops don't put that many bullets down range so i don't see these weapons being used excessively. I think i put more bullets down range with my G22 & PPS then the local cops. lol

I got one last week, but it came missing some parts. The extractor, plunger, bearing and spring were missing. Glockmeister was supposed to send me the parts from another used gun last Tuesday, but I'm still waiting.

I was at my LGS when they opened the box, so I know they didn't take the parts. However, I didn't inspect it thoroughly because I was running late. I noticed the missing parts when I removed the slide to clean the gun.

Luckily, I had a spare bearing and extractor from my Gen 4 G19. I ordered a plunger and spring from Lone Wolfe, which I received on Saturday. I put the parts in and function checked the gun using snap caps and it works great. I went to the range and put about 250 rounds through it with NO BTF or weak ejections.

It has a lot of slide wear, I'm thinking about having the slide refinished. I don't know if I want to send it back to Glock for that or have some place like rockyourglock.com do the refinishing.

Does anyone have any experience with having their Glock refinished?

Wow. Guess I'll look for a 19Gen2 somewhere else. That is unacceptable, surplus or not.

I honestly think it was an accident, however, I'm waiting to see if they make good on the parts.

They said they strip (the guns) and inspect all of them before shipping and it's possible the guy was in a hurry, distracted, etc...and missed putting the parts back in.

Free shipping. I ordered mine yesterday. Added a set of new Glock night sights for $75 extra. I haven't found any used Gen 2 G19 or 17's at any lgs's for less than $400 and then you'd have to add sales tax. Plus, all of them didn't have night sights. I know I could get a new G19 w/o NS's from a buddy for $398+tax and FFL, but I wanted an older model and I also wanted a Gen 2. Ain't gonna find a Gen 2 G19 with new night sights on it for what I'll pay, even after my $30 FFL transfer fee.

Well actually a little more than that now.I just received an extended slide stop ($20) in the mail.
In the near future I'll have even more in it.I plan to have it Cerakoted and add a set of Speed Sights, but that's after the fact .

Mine better be too. I called and talked to JoAnn at Glockmeister today and she said that the B Grade G19's were pretty rough and the A Grade's were in alot better shape. It was a $15 upgrade, but I took it. They hadn't put the new night sights on it yet, so it wasn't an issue. So, I'll have $475 in a Gen 2 G19 with new night sights. Shipped. That beats the rusted up junker Gen 2 G19 with regular sights for $400+tax, I just passed up at a pawn shop recently.

A deal is a deal to the person involved, we all know of a time when some one got a steal on a Glock, I once had a kid come up to me and tell me he just bought a G-17 2nd Gen with five pre ban mags for $250. He said he knew I liked Glocks and would have passed the deal on to me, but I told him so much about Glocks he couldnt pass it up. Like I always say, what price are YOU worth. two gens are hard to find at a good price, I have a well worn G-23 2nd Gen I would never think of giving up. Recently I got a G-22 former Detroit Police Department trade in 2nd Gen that is very accurate.

They (two gens) are out there, maybe without gills or equipment mounting rail cuts on the frame, or grooves, or a grip texture many of you like, but they are basic no frills work horses that provide you with a hard to beat performance package.

I finally finished the ole 19.Gonna shoot it this weekend. I got rid of the NY1 trigger spring, replaced the stock connector with a dot connector and did a .25 trigger job.
Then I decided to polish the barrel and slide, figured if I didn't like it I could have it Cerakoted later.I like it though.I was waiting on the new Speed Sights to be back in stock but gave up on em and got a set of trusty Warren Tactical sights.I can't wait to shoot it.

I finally got to shoot my Gen 2 G19 today. When I bought it the rear sight was adjusted so far to the right that it was hanging off the edge of the slide.I was kinda worried that it would shoot left, but it must have been the heavy trigger(NY) because it shot great today.I put 250 rounds through her and was wishing I brought more ammo with me.
The Warren Tactical sights are really quick and easy to acquire.I was having a blast on the reactive steel range.
