My dear sweet wife, who used to be so good about going to the gun store and saying "If you like it honey, buy it" has gotten "uppity" these last few weeks/months.

First, she lays claim to the Dan Wesson 22 I bought not long ago. Then last night, on the way home from the LGS, she takes the Taurus 22 I bought, and said "I like this one. You can shoot it sometimes, but it's mine now."

Then a few minutes ago, I was looking at the Smith & Wesson forum, and a picture of a Model 29-2, in nickel, and she walks buy and says...'Oh, I like that. You can buy one like it...FOR ME."

I KNEW I shouldn't have bought her a new pair of shoes.

We were at Cabelas yesterday, and mt wife spotted a pink-camo shotgun and a lavender snub-nose.

Gues the birthday/christnmas list will be easy to fill this year.

Sounds like she likes .22s. Buy a S&W 500 and see if she wants to lay claim to it.

Buy big bore guns that kick like a mule and that should fix her from taking your guns.:tongueout:

I always suspected my wife had a long-lost twin

This is her way of telling you that you are not buying enought guns.

You must increase your purchasing rate.

Mine became a Hunter Education Instructor. They my daughter did it also. Now they really lay claim to the guns.

That probably won't work. She shot my 29-2, (with mag loads) turned and said "I thought these things kick?"

She (and I) just LIKE 22's.

I used to have a HS-2000, Sig P239, CZ-75, Taurus 94, Walther P-22, and S&W M36. Somehow those became my wife's. I had to get my own CZ, Taurus, Walther and S&W as I like those too much to not have my own.

Someday, she will learn to buy her own guns and ammo. Especially AMMO! It's a bit disconcerting to decide to take a .38 to the range and find that ALL of the .38 Spl range ammo disappeared. Hmmm, seems that last time I looked I had almost 1200rds!

Good thing your wife is into guns and dosn't mind you buying them, but I'd be dammed if some woman would just take my actual firearms and say "mine". If she likes the one I have, then I'll buy her a similar model.

For all those crazy married people out there that say that's what happens, I'm glad I barely avoided it a few years ago. :faint:

Bit of advice - make sure she is not taking all her girlfriends to the range on her "girls day out" and supplying all of THEIR ammo...

"Sure, David won't mind, its only a couple of boxes of ammo..."

On second thought, get her into reloading.... HER OWN ammo!

You might try to take her to a good beautician or make up artist. Oops! Sorry, I thought you said she was getting downright ugly.

Women will surprise you. They are fun!

Before my wife got her CCW, she took an "Introduction to handguns" course at the range. Then she to "Handgun shooting" course at the range.

When she came home from shooting I asked what calibers she shot. She said: .22's, .38', 9mm, .357 Magnum and a .45.

I asked what she liked the most and she said they were all OK, but she liked the .38.

I asked if the recoil of the guns was a problem and she said no, not a problem.

She is 5'2" and was 70 Y.O. And she bought a S & W 642 for carry.

Later she found a "pretty" Inox Tomcat that we put Pearl grips with Rosebuds on. She liked that she didn't have to rack the slide, just tip up the barrel to unload.

I'm going to try her on the Rhino .357 Mag snubbie next.

My point is you cannot second guess them. If they want something, just get it for them and both of you will be happier.

I changed my mind on "brightly colored guns since that idiot piece of news that wanted to make all guns black so they didn't look "nice".

Someone should paint up a plaid gun and really pee them off.
