I wear a leather holster and it constantly makes creaking noises and it sometimes gets me those "What the heck?" looks. What can I do to reduce the noise? Or will it just go away in time? I've been wearing this holster for at least 4 months.
Thanks.

Noise should diminish with use.
Where ever the straps or hooks connect near the leather you can see it rub and make noise. I put felt strips between so it doesn't make noise. That is what I've done. I Believe some said use saddle soap for leather. So it doesn't stick together. On those creaking points. I just used felt strips local fabric store, that is sticky on one side. HTH

Do not use saddle soap for holsters.
Talcum powder or another baby powder will minimize the squeaking without softening the leather.

A little Kiwi Neutral Paste Wax rubbed into the contact points works for me.

Talc or baby powder where belt and holster clips make contact.
