New to me Glock 36

I was at a local gun shop the other day and right there in the used gun section lay a perfect Glock 36. DWM serial number so I'm guessing it was born somewhere around 2000. It came in the old style tupperware box with the removable lid.

I own a Glock 19, 17, 21, 21sf, 22, 23, 26, 27, 30, 30sf and now a 36. I love the .45 acp round and really tried to switch to the Glock 30 and then the 30SF in the past. They are great guns. The Glock 30 feels better in my hand than any other glock. The width and weight really made it a hard pistol for me to carry everyday. I switched back to my Glock 27 and I've been carrying that for a few years.

As soon as I picked up the 36 I knew I was going to buy it. There just isn't another Glock like it. I don't mind the reduced round capacity since its such a great cartridge. The only downside that I see is not being able to use my Glock 21 mags for reloads. I do wish Glock would make a 10 round mag but other than that its a perfect CCW weapon. Going to put a few hundred rounds through the gun and if 100% like all my other Glocks it will be my new daily carry.

Can't believe it took me so long to pick one up. I should have bought a 36 instead of the 30SF.

I don't have as many Glocks as you do but I do have a Glock 17, 26, 27, 30sf, and a 36. I carry the 36 more than the 30sf. I am retired LE and I have nerve damage in my back from carrying a gun for so many years. The 30sf is a little to heave for me. I also carry the 26 and 27 when I am going into an area where I feel like I may need a few more rounds. They are all great guns. In all the years I have been shooting Glocks I have never had a malfunction of any kind.

Congrats, my 36 is a DBY prefix so not long before yours. It runs great.

Thanks guys. The slide does not lock back on an empty mag. Ordered a new slide stop lever and 3 new mags. Looking forward to putting some rounds down range this weekend. I'll report back when I know if it has issues or not.

I still can't believe how great this pistol feels in the hand.

The older G36 mag followers had problems. I changed just those items in the older mags, and they work fine. Good luck.
