Another re-make? Looks like they've got a special effects budget this time.
Its been sitting on a shelf during the studio's restructuring for 2 years. I think it may have been filmed 3 years ago.

IIRC that's about it.
It will be interesting to see how faithful the remake is to the original premise.

They could write in a "green" let's save the Earth agenda, or at least a reference to global warming.
Maybe make one of the Wolverines gay?
Or a victim of internet bullying?
One of the Wolverines could be an illegal alien, in order to demonstrate that they love this country too?

Had to change the invaders from Chicoms to North Korea. They still have some of the credits listed as "Chinese [insert role]" on various cast lists. The actors are ethnic Chinese and too tall to be from the PRK. PRK can't even make a decent rocket. Of all the possibilities, that's who they rewrite as the bad guys. Kind of falls short of the original, if you ask me. Way to go hollywood. :faint:

It's like Hollywood turning the Arab terrorists (abetted by socialists) from The Sum of All Fears into white neo-fascists...

I'm guessing they didn't want to lose a big market like China.
Then again, they could have changed the ending to where the Chinese win and take over the USA with a sequel to follow.

Good line -"We inherited our freedom -now its time to fight for it!" Looks like they have China as the invaders this time. I'd almost want to see it. But I'll wait un til is comes out on DVD.

What they should have done is keep continuity with the original, have 0 get re-elected and in a twist of irony the Russians invade a second time to liberate America from the Marxists.
In the final battle it's Putin on his horse vs. 0 on his unicorn.

Was china but that wouldn't be PC, so now it's North Korea.
