JUST BOUGHT A S&W M&P 9MM AND RIGHT AWAY I LIKED THE FEEL AND ACCURACY - HOWEVER, EACH TIME I GOT DOWN TO 4-5 ROUNDS IN THE MAG, IT FAILED TO FEED. DID THIS WITH ALL MAGAZINES- SAME RESULT...OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I SHOOT ALL THE TIME WITH MY GLOCK 9'S AND NEVER HAVE THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM. AND NO, I AM NOT THUMBING THE SLIDE OR ANY OTHER OPERATOR-INDUCED HOO-HAA. I AM USING WINCHESTER 115 FMJ. SOUNDS LIKE A MAGAZINE PROBLEM, BUT JUST WANTED TO BRING IT UP IN CASE ANYONE ELSE HAS THE SAME ISSUE.:dunno:

Smith and Wesson has been having a lot of quality control issues lately. I had to send back my S&W AR because the barrel was set wrong. Out of my local gunshops 10 gun sent back for repair, 8 where smith and wesson.
Smith and Wesson has been turning out a lot of guns and I guess the quality has gone down to complete this task.
Go on there website and get a return shipping label to send it back to get fixed.

Sounds a lot like a weak spring or crud in the mags.
Disassemble the mags, oil, scrub & wipe clean.
Does the feed problem continue until the mag is empty?

Unacceptable for a new firearm.
Buy a Walther instead.

Everybody puts out a lemon here and there, its just how it is. All my M&Ps have been flawless. Give Smith a call and they will make it right, they have some of the best customer service in the business.

Smack the back edge of the mag against the palm of your hand after you load them.Might be that the rounds aren't stacking up just right.

Walther is not made by S&W, S&W is the importer for Walther.
