A brand spanking new Ruger Vaquero in .45 ACP. It has the birdshead grip and a 3.5" barrel, both of which is very cool. She pays attention to my buying habbits, this is the 3rd .45 ACP revolver for the year. It's so cool having a Wife that supports your hobby.

I probably will. :wow: In hunting season though. Up until now I've always carried my 5.5" Blackhawk, it's comforting to have a big bore revolver while in the woods.

Thanks, actually my birthday is next weekend. It looks like I'm going to be out of town working though. :crying: So we bumped it up a week. Happy birthday and congrats on your new gun!

My wife does pay attention to my gun related interests. I've been casting a lot of .45 caliber bullets over the last few weeks. She knows my love for non magnum big bore revolvers. This is my third .45 this year and my fifth overall.

In addition to the new gun it includes my 5.5" Blackhawk .45 ACP/Colt convertible, my 3" 625, a 1955 Target model and a .455 converted to accept .45 ACP/AR.

Ruger instead of a Smith? I'd have to think about handing my woman her walking papers over a stunt like that........................

Thanks! I can't find out a lot about it. I think it's a Talo edition. Some were made in .45 Colt and some in .45 ACP. It seems there were less of the .45 ACP guns made. I'm not sure how many overall were made or even if they're still being made. Either way I like it.

Thanks buddy, I sure will. I've been busy casting .45 bullets in the little bit of time I have off. I have about 800 pieces of brass to load. It's crunch time at work, things should get more back to normal is a couple of months.

Definitely a keeper (and the revolver's pretty nice, too!)!

Getcha a couple of Glock 21 mags for speed-reloading the revolver. I love the confused looks you get when a person sees a SA revolver in your holster, and detachable magazines in pouches on the same belt.
