That's why I don't buy anything new from Smith.

It's his gun. He can of course do as he please with it. However, from what can be seen in the video, the only thing needed was to have S&W warrant repair properly line the barrel up on the frame. S&W would have paid the shipping, etc.

If I remember correctly, he sent it back in and they shipped it back claiming it was within spec. He is definitely a little OCD, but at least he knows it. He also does pretty dang good work touching it up.

It is his gun and of course he can do anything he wants to it. However, unless it was getting snagged on his draws or it affected his accuracy, geez it seemed like taking a paint brush to a Picasso.

In his follow up video, I do think he did a great job on the refinish though.
