I'm in the market for a Sig P226. I can get one for a great price through the IOP program at Top Gun Supply.

The 226 Combat and the MK25 seem to be the same pistol, except for the color.

Am I correct in this? I can't justify an extra $100 for the Combat, when I can get the MK25 for $830.

Also, if you have a MK25 or a 226 Combat, how do you like it?

I have a 220 combat. It has some special corrosion stuff that I will probably never need. Liked the color, thought it was purdy...so I bought it.

Sorry for the complete lack of usefulness in my post.

The MK25 has standard trigger. The Combat has short (thin) trigger. Lots of folks don't like the thin trigger.
Get the MK25 if you have bigger than average hands.
Don't know about the Combat, but the MK25 has phosphated internals, which is supposed to be better for harsh environments.
If I were picking, I'd take the MK25, especially since I don't care for colored pistols.

I just posted on this.

<--- I have a custom shop P226 Combat and love it. The only thing I do (did) not like is the firing pin channel retainer pin ... it is easy to drill out and replace with the double roll pin though. The phosphate treatment is very nice and I recommend it.

Well, I couldn't contain myself.

I just ordered a MK25 thru Top Gun Supply's IOP Program.

Got it for an amazing price. Can't beat a 226 w/ night sights, 3 mags, and all the enhancements for $829.

Should be here Thursday, but I'm in the field doing training til Friday, so it'll be a "welcome back from the suck" present to myself.

I know the Combat series has a standard 1913 rail and as such it won't fit standard holsters. I'm not sure of that on the MK25 but the 226 is awesome gun for sure!

I too have a 220 Combat. Next to my HK 45, the 220 combat is my second favorite .45 pistol. I just wish there was more holster coverage for it.

My Kramer holsters for it cost me a small fortune!

I love the P226 but would highly suggest the normal DA/SA P226.

I love Sigs. I have had good luck with a P238, 239, 226, and 220.

I have an E2 226 in 9mm, it's one of my favorites.
