I took some new pics of some of my purchases from this year. I haven't taken much time to take my best pics lately and spent some more time setting them up this time.

I've had a great year finding classics in excellent to mint condition and just wanted to share.

Nice collection.... But I don't see the most coveted pistol that was released in extremely limited numbers in 2011...

The Snoopy Edition Beretta 92....

Very, very nice additions to your collection Brian, congrats. FWIW, the Dan Wesson Supermag, gets my vote for "Best in Show"! Definitely, old school, of how fabulous,a revolver could look.

Brian,

I did not know that you got a VIS35 this year! Great minds think alike:supergrin:, I got one, too, but mine is a very early version and of course not in as nice a condition as yours.

http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z159/Andyd173/DSCF7017.jpg

I also got another classic Beretta, since I got a rimfire Beretta 70 about 30 years ago already :

http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z159/Andyd173/Beretta1935.jpg

a Mauser P38

http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z159/Andyd173/DSCF5010.jpg

and a Zella Mehlis PP

But my most classic this year is a 1942 byf P.08. Man, are those spare magazines expensive ...

http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z159/Andyd173/IMG-20120726-00163.jpg

This is a fine shooter with a reduced load with 124 gr Sako FMJ bullets!

bac1023
08-22-2012, 05:22
They are some great looking additions, Andy.

My P35 is a later model without the take down lever. It is in nice shape though. :)

I really like that P38. I have a later model with the alloy frame.

I have admired the pictures of your post WWII P38 on many occasions. I have also a P1 that is in pretty good shape for a surplus pistol and a great shooter that brings back memories.

http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z159/Andyd173/P1.jpg

Unfortunately my VIS 35 has a rough barrel and lead bullets are not giving me good results.

Where do you always find guns in that great condition???

Hey Bac:

food for thought. A Husqvarna 1907 in 9mm Browning long that I only got for the challenge of reloading for it but it is a very important gun in the development of the 1911.

http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z159/Andyd173/1907.jpg

Also got a p.27 and own a CZ again after many years of being "CZ clean". This one has a WaA.

Brian,

now that I am thinking about it ... do you have any .32 ACP?

Your collection might be void of many important milestones in gun history. A whole new field is opening up here.

I know that Browning had offered these extremely nice Renaissance models, a HP, A 1922 and a 1910. All nicely engraved.

Do you feel tempted:tongueout:?

Bac, on the Beretta 72 Jaguar is it a .22 ? hence the long barrel ?

Ohh. That is one I wouldn't mind finding in my LGS. I picked up an older Model 21A for a song two months ago, but I really like the looks of that Model 70. It looks like a .22, not a .32. Correct?

Any Hebrew markings on it?

Andy, engraving on handguns just never appealed to me. I appreciated the work that goes into them, but they just aren't my style.

The only 32acp I own is a Beretta Tomcat.

I am getting into a Beretta kick right now. Got the 21A two months ago and picked up a 92FS (USA made) today. I seem to have misplaced my camera so pics will have to wait.

That 70 would have definitely have a place in my budding Beretta collection. Absolutely beautiful.
