I handed off my Lightweight Commander to Tussey some time back and I finally picked her up today. I honestly did not think it would take this long but all is forgiven now I guess.

I had the slide milled for dovetail sights and a 10-8 rear sight (.140 notch) and a novak front sight put in. Ed Brown MSH and a trigger.

I was surprised to see he re-blued the slide as I just wanted a cold blue where the slide was milled. I did not recognize the slide at first-it really is gorgeous.

This is no way meant to be a showpiece. It is just dialed to make it better for my needs. I might look into re-blueing the grip safety (Wilson drop in) myself to match the shiny-ness of the slide.

I will probably try to take some better pics since I just snapped these prior to shooting it.

Finally, my EDC is home and my Milt Sparks order should be due in the next couple weeks.

Excellent! I notice you stayed with the factory thumb safety-good choice. I like a little more but most of the aftermarkets are big enough to eat your lunch off of.

I'm a firm believer in the Lightweight Commander now.

BTW, my Milt Sparks order came in a couple of weeks back. A 55BN for the Walther P5, an IBAK for Beretta M9 and an NLG for full size Government Model. The Axiom for the Commander should be due in a couple of months, and I just got a call from Boise Gun Company that my Talo .38 Super Lightweight Commanders are on the way.

I have an Axiom and double mag pouch for the Commander along with a VMII and pouch for my LC9 on the way. Oh yeah, and a belt. My Commander has ridden in my VMII for some time now and it really is the cat's pajamas for EDC.

God, I am glad to have it back. Carrying that LC9 in some crap, Tagua clip holster was the worst. I actually left the damn thing in the truck most of the time.

Very nice. If/when I get a BHP, it'll go to Tussey for a barrel reduction, then be headed to to Metaloy for a hardchrome job.

A little something like this...

There is a very good reason for an extended TS.:whistling:

Very sweet looking Colt Goldendog'.

If you're the type that shoots with your thumb resting on the safety lever, then there's a very good reason for extended thumb safety lever.
