The site talks about the Youth Shooting Sports Alliance. I'm guessing it's suppose to attract younger shooters.

Ugly, but I don't think it's done wrong.
.22lr over a .410 is a handy gun.
If it is a true takedown, that would be really, really handy.

For $450 I would rather have .22 Hornet or .22 Mag over 20 gage.
I sure hope it has a nice personality.

There is a .22 WMR over .410 option.
I don't even think it's that ugly.
I have a .22LR/.410 M6 Scout that's plenty uglier.

Same here. But it has a certain lo-tech coolness factor.
I pulled the trigger guard like the originals. Folds much better.

Nice, a youth combo gun that lists for $460.
I have a warm spot in my heart for Savage combo guns, but that is just plain fugly.
That would look right at home sitting next to that ridiculous, synthetic, picatinny rail havin' lever action Zombie gun that recently came out.

+1000. I love my M6 and I suspect I'll like this even more since it has a real trigger.
The M6 is like a Glock. It is not beautiful to look at like a Luger. It is beautiful in it's simplicity. Drop it out of an airplane and it still works. Pull it out of a fire and it still works. It was designed to work in the worst conditions.
The cartridge combination can be argued for or against. I will argue against it. Give me a 20ga or 12ga any day. I will also say that I would prefer something more than 22lr, but I understand some people like it for what it is.
Now take a look at the sights. Those do not appear to be robust/protected. With the plastic covering the barrel there is no option of adding better sights.
And it is not like they don't already have a design they know works and would sell. Heck if they want to go cheap, take the old design and have synthetic stock. People will buy it and have aftermarket stocks.
