Preference is steel commies or ex-commies mags.

Usage is to load them up with bullets then stick'em in the guns.

If I was in your position, I would be asking this question in the AK forum.

Ive had good luck with the Bulgarian Steel. I bought a case of them when they were cheap..... $4 each. Ive only used the first 5 and they have been perfect. I stopped looking after that. Oh I also have one of the older 75 round drums. Its fun, but I dont use it much, just too heavy to drag around the woods.

Norinco?

I have a 75- and a 100-round Chinese drum. Had them for 20+ years....never used them.

They are more of collector's items now because they are worth about $500+ for the both of them!:wow:

My cost?

$60:whistling:

I'm happy with the new Tapco smooth side Bakelite mags. $14 and made in the USA. I like surplus mags too, but the Tapcos are fine for my use.
