:supergrin: Hey gang,

I stopped by the Kittery Trading Post in Maine and saw a brandy new G29sf behind the glass. I have been wanting to make the switch for awhile now as the 20sf was just a bit much to carry concealed...especially this time of year...and during archery season I wanted something a little easier to carry. I had been looking at the local gun shops for months....Anyways, they gave me $380.00 for the 20sf towards the new 29sf...which was priced at $569.00. Not a bad deal I am thinking.

It was the last of 3 they had on backorder for months.
It was test-fired and packaged on 3/17/12.....
A St. Patricks Day 10mm for me...same as my first name...Happy St Paddys Day to me...

Nice...a G29 is on my short list but I wont part with my G20 to get one. Nooooo way!!! The 20 is just an ultimate weapon.

That's similar to how my 26 turned into a 29.

My G29SF had a very large baby. A G20SF. But I have a soft spot for kids.

If you can have only one, a G29SF makes sense. You can put a 4.5" barrel in it and use G20 mags with A & G grip sleeves. Then you have a G20 too.

I have a Storm Lake 4.48" barrel in my G29SF. KKM has them but you have to ask them for it. It's not listed on their sight last I looked.

Thanks guys.....

I am wondering if I should stay 100% stock with the Underwood 200gr XTP's .... or if I should consider a heavier/newer RSA and a new aftermarket barrel ?

Does anyone have any advise ???....
I Will be at the range Sunday shooting this Underwood round stock.

Most of what I've shot is 200grain ammo, and hot, at that. The big thing is after you shoot it, notice how far it's throwing the brass. Mine threw it in excess of 15 feet, and because I wanted 6' or less went with a 21# spring setup. I have 22# on my G20, and went heavier for the same reason. I have a lot of testing yet to go through with the heavier spring, on the 29. I have done extensive testing with the G20, and both mild target loads, and blistering hot, throw brass within 6', and runs perfectly!
