So, I've been seriously considering selling off some equipment to get some bench space back in my reloading room. I was just wondering what you guys think would be fair prices to ask for the things that are going away.

The Dillon RL450 is set up for 223 and I have both powder bars for it and have upgraded it to auto-prime.

The Dillon RL550 is another matter... I have 2 extra quick changes for it and conversions for 38/357, 45 Colt, and 44 Mag/Spl.

And I also have a MEC 9000G in 12 gauge that I'm going to be letting go of.

I have some prices in my head of what I was thinking of asking and just thought I'd see what you guys thought. I'm getting rid of the two dillons because I have two 650s set up in all of the listed calibers except 38/357 and the sale of this equipment would more than pay for everything I need to finish setting up on the 650s. I need bench space back!!!

My cleaning usually means taking all the garbage my wife puts on it when she 'cleans' her car :steamed:.

Real cleaning just means rearranging the piles on the bench and blowing it off with the compressor. I finally snuck out this am after my run to load some primed 45acp cases that have been waiting for a while.

Knock 20% off retail for a 550B as setup, very fair price. The 450, if I got what I originally paid for it , I would be happy. I sold my first 550, upgraded to a B, for what I paid for it way back when. He was happy & I got a new 650.

Occasionally I get the urge to clean something. I have a chew and watch TV until it goes away.

Build another bench.
It's only a 12x13 room and it's overflowing... have to downsize... and I've determined that loading 223 on the 450 or the 550 either one is just too much pain in the ass.

As for the 550... it'd be 740 bucks from Dillon, so I was thinking of letting it go for 625 shipped.

The 450 I was thinking of letting go for 275 shipped with the 223 coinversion, auto prime upgrade, and both powder bars for the old style manual powder measure.

Was thinking I'd prolly just ask for like 350 bucks for the Mec 9000, or 400 with like 3000 wads and a crapload of AA hulls and 1000 primers.

I don't think you are going to get that for a 550 because it is more than retail for just the press. You are probably going to have to sell the caliber conversions on the side.

You're asking full new price on the RL550 with conversions. Why would someone want to pay $650? I bought two RL450's and one used but in the box. Your price is not going to move those units.

Hey....you asked!

I paid $800 used for my 650 with case feeder, .38 dies with quick change kit, the optional handle, extra trays, a couple of case gauges... dunno, maybe more - but it added up to about $1200 worth from Dillon so I considered that fair; about 2/3 retail from a guy at my club.

NO, I wasn't asking full new price. I was actually asking $115 BELOW full new price for the press, two extra quick changes, and 3 conversions. And FYI, it sold on another forum in less than 8 hours for the $625 plus 3% for paypal fees.

I'm glad that you got it sold. That being said, I just bought a new Dillon RL550 directly from Dillon with extras and didn't pay anywhere near $625 for it.

Apparently, you either can't read, or can't add. RL550B, 3 conversions, and 2 extra quick changes comes to $740 shipped from Dillon.

You have to love that about dillon stuff. When I sold my 550 I got almost all of my money back. I owned it for three years and only lost $50.
