My next purchase is going to be the CCO. After reading on another 1911 forum under the Dan Wesson section someone had mention ALL Dan Wesson where series 70 trigger system vs. series 80...Is this accurate?

Secondly I see on gunbroker all the D.W CCO that are available Dan Wesson claims that they are bobtails . However, I don't see the bobtails on the CCO. Am I missing something on that?

Anyway, thanks for any help on my questions. Much appreciated.

Yes they are series 70. The DW description isn't accurate. It is a round butt treatment, not a bobtail.

No DWs have the firing pin safety.

Series 70 is a Colt term, however.

most satisfied with my dw cco. to me, it's the best compromise between concealability and shootability (to the extent those are actual words). it's not a true bobtail, as the treatment of the lower msh is not as severe, but the object is the same..... to make the butt end print less.

I liked mine so much I purchased a second. I know true 1911 Fans understands the logic behind that even if my girlfriend doesn't.
