View Full Version : Gold Dot in .223 is really hard to find
Anyone have a source for that (either 55gr or 64gr)? I guess Speer really tries to restrict it to LE only maybe? Which is strange considering the good availability of handgun Gold Dots.
All of my usual haunts are sold out as well.
Thanks, I overlooked sgammo for some reason.
Still haven't found the 64gr version but even the 55gr appears to be a great round. I'm surprised it's only $17ish a box.
According to "Doc", the Fed Fusion round is the same technology as the GD. I picked up 200rds of that to try out(62gr). I bought mine at PSA, but local WM stocks it, and I plan on getting some in .308 too.
Couple shootings as of late with this 64 gr. round by the BP. One was near Tucson and was a DRT. The other had the same result as well I believe. Absolutely wicked round.
Gold Dot in .223 is really hard to find
Right now I'd say .223 Gold Dot (or any .223, 9mm, .45ACP, .22lr) and a few other calibers are impossible to find. From what I can see there is .40S&W available in some places.
My local Target has ammo now - a good selection.
