Plan on watching it. The previews look kinda bad. Jax rides off a cliff. Can't we have everyone in the family NOT is a hospital for a couple episodes. The whole CIA thing was a bit much. Might be the season they jump the shark.

In lieu of today, I kinda miss the series, Rescue Me.

Good episode. I was surprised we got to see Jimmy's butt (as if we didn't see it enuf on NYPD Blue) but not Katy's.

Is Clay making a play or is he just trying to get things right? Oh yeah, he's making a play! Lots of loose ends tonight that'll take a season to tie up.

The previews always show something that hints to a plot, never the real plot. The Season-2 preview was Gemma and Tara driving head-to-head a-la MI:2. That didn't happen, but it explained their friction.

Gemma really beat that little hooker's ass. My daughter tells me that was Ashly Tisdale, from disney channel.
Shame about Opie, they continued to beat on him with that pipe even after they took off the back of his head.

Not too sure about Smits though, he had to make a call when he picked up Jax last week..how else would that other truck been able to find them. The truck may have wrecked after the little chase...but there was no evidence of anyone getting hurt. Whats a little spilled blood to prove a point.

He was by far my favorite. But he did want out... (and apparently out of the show as an actor too, not just the club) It's a shame about his kids though. No parents, and one kinda worthless grandma... But I doubt we'll ever see them on the show again...

When Opie was "chose" my original thought was somehow he was gonna take them all on and win. I never fathomed him being killed. Guess I was wrong on thinking he'd be Jax's VP yet this season.

Pretty sure Clay had EVERYTHING to do with the raid at the escort service.

Yep, the irony of the O2 tank on Clay is pretty apparent. I wonder if he'll start riding Piney's trike when he see him back on wheels again. As far as Opie goes... that sucks, but makes a lot of sense as the plot goes. I got a feeling the black kingpin gangster will meet his demise by the end of the season. I hope that jail sergeant meets his demise soon too.

I thought Sutter was brilliant that when Gemma walked into the "treatment room," he didn't have his O2 and was sitting up fairly straight.

Almost like, "Yeah, B-word! You think you've got it all over on me? But how much of that is an act? I'm already 10 steps ahead of you."

And Tara out-Gemma'ing Gemma. GREAT STUFF.

The brutality is a bit over the top. Did not need to be. It would have been just as shocking to hear the WHUMP and see Jax react to it. Just a flinch.

I think you're right. A lot of Clay's pity party is an act. I'm pretty sure that the Nomads that disbanded are loyal to Clay and are putting on a friendly face for Jax. He's definitely on a path of revenge. I have to agree about the brutality being a bit over the top, but by now we all know that Sutter & his crew aren't going to hold anything back when telling this story.

Gemma was out gemma'd by tara. glad to see tara stepping up.

Gemma going after the ho was a little too much drama. Says she cares too much about clay. She should have shrugged it off and walked.

Wouldnt be surprised if the two government guys get whacked by jax or allies before its all over, for putting them in this position.

The show is about Jax, not the others. Not ANY of the others. Kill off Clay, and another older smarter foe will appear. Kill off Gemma and another manipulative b-word will appear. Opie was a bit-player. But he played that guy that we all struggle with and want as a close friend. So that made last night hard. Esp. when he didn't have to do that.

The skank brawl was a bit over the top. At this point the best thing Jax could do is round up Gemma, Clay, and Pope and send them all back to the LOST Island.

The speed at which Tara could lose all Gemma perspective seemed contrived.

Seems to me that the club's willingness to tolerate members and families being killed and not kill the people responsible has reached a level that makes them not believeable as a motorcycle club. In real life, M/C members have killed people for saying they're club members or for failign to show the proper respect, wearing the wrong clubs patch in the wrong territory, etc. And, as far as a threat, clubs have gone to war with guns and bombs against clubs many, many times bigger and more powerful. I'm not buying an M/C that doesn't kill Pope and the deputies from the jail ASAP - the SoA have just become too "kind and gentle" to be believable.

You realize that you are talking about pimples on a butt, right? Pope is the butt. The Sons are a small pimple. It's a shock that Pope even TALKS to Jax. I think he sees some profit in it - and that's why he's bothering.

The further they go with this series, the more sense you have of how small-time these guys are. First season - esp. the first several episodes - they were king d-word. 4 years later, you realize they are a very VERY small fish in a big huge pond filled with whales.

They've held back retaliation before. This isn't new. And I don't think a 1% club would survive if they killed everyone that crossed them. Eventually, the blood would be so deep that the thing would fold. They don't have the depth to go that route. (Either in the series or real life. Guys with rides that wanna kill aren't stacked up. Where as, guys in the inner city who are looking to get ahead and have little morals are a dime a dozen.)

Yep. This weeks episode was kinda lacking. I mean this whole Smits escort service while having affair w/ Jemma is lacking. Who Cares?

Kill Tig and dump Clay while you are at it. Just go back to working the tow jobs during the day and getting drunk at bars at night. Maybe with Zito and Coones in the show, the HA will come to Charming and show the Sons how it is done.

Believable or not, it's just a TV show strictly for prime time entertainment purposes. Look at all the CSI's... they have been some of the most popular shows for years and they're loaded with unbelievable fake crap, but they are still somewhat entertaing.

So I just found out on another forum that the new member they voted in at the beginning of the season, is played by Chuck Zito, former president of the Hells Angels' New York Nomad chapter. I did say, when I watched the last episode, that "at least the new guy looks like a real biker."

You are right, but he's not the only one. Tara is becoming Gemma and Clay is becoming Piney. Before long, you'll see him riding Piney's trike, which they were setting up when he dropped his bike a couple of episodes back and, of course, the oxygen tank. The idea seems to be showing how the characters got where they are, by having other characters become their opposite/nemesis.

Most all of the major motorcycle clubs were founded by veterans, starting with WW II. They continue to be filled with veterans, especially after a war. That's one reason so much of the Harley and M/C culture is about patriotism, the military, and veterans (trhe other reason being that the Army is why Harley became the top American bike and so many people ride Harleys today). You don't seem to know much about the subject.

Yeah - looking back it was probably an effort of genius on Stutter's / Goggins part. There IS Emmy buzz circulating already for good ol' Boyd's performance.

Rumour has it that as much as possible was shot not showing the Son's faces was because they were seriously laughing during the whole scene. In fact, the little kiss Venus gave Jax at the end , Goggins admitted was totally unscripted so Jax's look of shock was likely real.

I forget - was Goggins even credited as a guest star?

Just wondering if there will be sly jokes that turn up on Justified in Boyd's direction once Justified begins.

if it wasnt for that whole meth, killing people, extortion thing they would be a great bunch of guys to party with.:wavey:

The fact that they are criminals does not change the point. I've served in the Army and shared barracks rooms with a couple of hit men for a drug dealer who were still in. They were still nice enough guys.

As for the real life M/Cs, it's hard to say how much we "know" about them is real and how much is fiction. I have learned that the majority of what I was taught as a police officer is fiction on par with what we were being taught about satanic cults in the late 80's (up until they found out it was all fiction manufactured by a few nuts, posing as "experts"). There is certainly some organized crime involved, but we were taught so much nonsense, that I have learned was nonsense, I'm no more confident in that than in believing the club members who say they're not really criminals. It may have improved, but in the 80's to early 90's, police OMG training was about as accurate and reliable as getting your drug training from "Reefer Madness" (I say that, because much of it seems to have come from the 60's bikesploitation movies).

Here's some trivia, re: Marines - remember this famous picture after the Second Battle of Fallujah? Now a member of the Highwayman MC, here in Kentucky, that Wikipedia calls, "a motorcycle club under constant scrutiny by law enforcement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highwaymen_Motorcycle_Club)."

It seems the Sons have wandered off into the land of Homosexual exploration. I mean the 2nd episode was ok but this one just went further south (pun intended). The writers need to step up their game IMHO.

I also noticed the 2 real 1%'s weren't in that shot. Let us just get back to killing, drug and gun running, and Jax finding out what really happened to his real daddy. For God's sake, just kill Clay already.

It also seems Tig might have done ok if he was left in jail.......

I think we ALL get the blackmail of the councilman, what we don't get is how the sons seemed a bit too interested in the uh, behavior.

I think what some are saying which some here don't get, is that we are tired of getting the GBLT agenda thrown at us from hollyweird especially from a show about 1%'s. Oh I know, most here don't know about true 1% except what they see on tv but c'mon, you see a club embracing those things?

Yeah, Tig is the degenerate of the group and the only one that was genuinely interested. None of the other guys were interested in the tranny. What was said by them was only to blackmail the step son. As far as Jax not killing the tranny over the little kiss, well business is business.

clay is using the nomads to maneuver behind the scenes, he's setting up to destroy the club for good since he can't have it. i just don't know if that's the end of it or if he wants to destroy samcro and then start over.

1 thing is for certain though, neither him nor gemma will stop scheming until they take their last breaths, and even then it'll probably take em a few weeks to stop.

i love the way sutter uses tig's character. 1 minute you're cheering for him because he's just your average lovable horn dog, then he creeps you out with the whole "crack a cold one" bit, then you're laughing at his jokes, then you feel sorry for him about his daughter, and then BAM he offs a chick in cold blood and you remember he's a deranged and deeply disturbed monster. personally i think he's got the most depth of any character on the show.

All of the real ones support a lot of charitable causes. That's a pretty central aspect of the Harley and M/C lifestyle. Virtually every gathering supports charities. Wheels of Soul also developed a reputation for cleaning up crime in their neighborhoods, much like the club in SOA is portrayed as doing in Charming. That's about all that comes to mind.

However, I'm guessing he meant more action and not just constant problems.

Yep, Otto played his cards right. I kinda saw that coming. Too much bad juju just to let it go.

I think killing the black guy was wrong and they lost a lot as a club there. Sure, kill the guard but those guys that offed Opie didn't have much of a choice. They should have thrown Tig in and gave the big middle finger to Pope. Better yet, Jax should have killed Pope in the prison office.

Nope. He won't.

The other interesting thing: Tara succeeded. RICO is dead. Which means they don't need the protection of the Mexicans which means Clay's "deal" is tenuous. Lots of tentacles of plotline running simultaneously.

Bringing a weapon/potential weapon into a state prison can be a felony, not to mention the fact that the item that was brought in was, in fact, used as a weapon in a murder. There is also conspiracy(another felony) to bring the weapon/potential weapon in on top of that.

She's pretty screwed it seems.......

However, I think Jax is playing a long con on Pope, the Cartel, the Irish and pretty much everyone who isn't him, his wife or kids. He's a sadistic killer no doubt, as they all are, however he does still want to cut free I think.

In real life, she'd have a problem. It would start because she smuggled in contraband and gave it to an inmate and it would escalate because they'd then discover that she was connected to the club, and the inmate, etc., etc.

I think the legal problem is failr realistic. We throw people in jail for helping inmates get cell phones and cigarette lighters.

What is less realistic is the "RICO is dead, because he killed the nurse" thing. I'm not seeing how that affects the RICO case - if he testifies against the club, the murder generally can't be mentioned.

I don't think she can be held as an accessory unless she knew it was a weapon (of course, anything can be used as one). She is likely in trouble with her job and maybe could be held for negligence, but I suspect it would be a far stretch to try to pin accessory on her. It's a believable enough store, and true in this case, that she thought the cross had sentimental value. (Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, dodn't play one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn)

I'm not sure what you mean by "be held as an accessory." I do know that if a doctor intentionally brought in a large, metal crucifix at the request of an inmate and with the foreknowledge it was considered contraband/prohibited item and it was then used to murder and assault other medical personnel, that doctor would be arrested and remain in jail pending bail.

As for conviction, that's another thing but I'd reckon' it wouldn't be too difficult to get one when the jury found out the doctor's husband was the club president of an OMC and the murder suspect was a member of said club. The doctor's protestations of innocence, even if true, would likely fall on deaf ears.

At least in real life.

But I reckon' Jax will figure out something to keep her out of the joint all while playing his personnel game of thrones(another great series) with Pope, the Cartel, Clay and everyone else. It is operatic if nothing else.

**I figured out what you meant by accessory. In California, an accessory is someone who aids AFTER a felony is committed, not before, so I was a bit confused by your terminology. In California, she would be a principal and conspirator.

what the hell was that sloppy crap with Nero and the cocking sound on an o/u shotgun?? i'm used to hollywood gun mistakes but that crap was just blatantly bad.

Yes, it was poor form but that was a cool looking O/U and it looked like he had a belt holster for it under his jacket. Interesting setup.

Clay is gonna kill Nero.

Maybe Nero will kill Clay first and then Nero can be the daddy Jax never had.

The trailer of Jax crashing and then possibly going off the cliff might be appropriate for this season.

Also, the Charming HD dealer has to be loving all these HD's crashing or falling over. We need to see more Street Glides.

Not to get off topic, but do you watch the Cinemax show called Hunted? The lead character thumb cocked a GLOCK. Not just the audio sound, but visually.

Back on topic, total WTF moment at the end with Bobby.

That Chow Yung Fat/Mark Wahlberg movie did it about 15 years ago. LOL

Bobby isn't turning - he's negotiating.

I don't think so. But Jax's last words to Tig makes me think Tig WILL die this season. :( 2 more episodes, so they could pull a Stahl-esque reverse on Pope and walk away reasonably free on this one.

2 episodes left or 3? I couldn't tell from the previews of next week. Either way, only a few weeks before Justified fills the cold winter nights. :)

Nero is fudged. Fudged in 12 different directions. I keep thinking of Tony Soprano and the guy who played T2 with the sporting goods store. "What am I going to do - I'm a scorpion?"

Nero is getting sucked in by Gemma's chaos - and it will cost him. He's getting caught up in backing Jax when he doesn't need to - and guess what? It just cost him. Now his old Vato's are after him. Uh oh! For NOTHING! Whoops.

I actually feel bad for Jimmy Smits. He aged real well. I find myself hoping he just walks away from Charming every week for the last 3-4 weeks. Poor guy is gonna get porked by the club in multiple ways. :(

naw, nero will not only be fine he'll also get his girl. i see him and gemma riding off into the sunset when everything hits the fan.

i think we're about to see bobby make his first real power play. i think all the years he's spent watching clay/gemma/jax work against each other and the world has taught him a few things. he's not going to help clay, he's going to ease his mind to set him up for elimination. opie's gone, tig and clay will be gone soon, chibbs dosen't want the gavel, and jax wants out so that leaves bobby as the imminent president. bobby knows where all the skeletons are buried and last night jax added a few huge new ones to bobby's list so i think he's had enough.

i don't think any 1 person will kill clay, i think it's going to be a group effort as in firing squad style.

i'm not sure what this new villian's angle is but that guy is a great actor so next season should be good if it revolves around him.

Clay isn't going anywhere for at least a season. Tig or Chibbs. I think Tig. If Bobby goes, Chibbs steps in as VP - no change. Chibbs goes, and Jax goes ape. Tig goes and LaFawndu Del Ray won't be back. :( Gotta be a reason to lose one.

If Clay goes, series goes WAAAY left. And they keep giving him the outs to stay alive. Bobby was right - let it go for now.

Wait - Juice is dead. That's who's gonna get it.

My only complaint is the new Probies are pretty lame. I mean, where did they dig them up? ITT Tech? 3 seasons so far and they are barely bit characters who wouldn't know a Beretta from a battering ram. Too bad they haven't developed more characters in them.

Terabytes of porn on the Internet and you have to skip SOA to watch a lame fashion show?

I say he don't shoot Tig.

I hope they don't kill off Tig. Yes he deserves it, he is the one who deserved it in jail. I would really miss his disgusting humor/ways.

Iam hoping jax finds a way to kill the black gangster dude.

In most cases tig was following orders. From clay.

Theres principles at work here. Jax already lost opie to this guy, now he has to take an elective order from some outside force to sell a club brother down the river? I say jax kills the gangster and spends season 6 battling the gangsters insurance policy of well paid hitmen that come after him. Or find some way to make it look like some other hidden hand did it to save samcro.
