I've decided that I want a longer upper (20+ inch stainless heavy barrel).

Google was little help.

What should a fair asking price be for my 16-inch (200 actual rounds downrange, normal handling wear, meticulous cleaning, if that matters, ha!), NO rear sights, no BCG, and no CH go for?

Does $175-200 sound fair or not?

All input appreciated and thank you!

I think your a little low partner. Even with the BCG, CH and sights I would think you could probably start at 350 or maybe a little under. Smith's are not exactly what you would call a junker.

Thank you for the input, bmoore!

I feel OK at 200-225m with plain old PMC 55 grain but I think (or hope) that I could squeeze out a little better accuracy (open sights) with a heavier/longer SS barrel (same 1/8 twist).

I'll give you $200 for it!

Stainless barrels tend to be more accurate than chrome lined barrels. You don't have a chrome lined barrel. Longer barrels are less accurate because they are not as stiff as shorter barrels. Heavier should be more accurate because it is stiffer.

Free floating the sport barrel would be my first move.
