New sight on Henry makes all the difference

I have a new HiViz front sight on my new H001, and, wow, does it ever make a difference. When I bought the Henry a couple of weeks ago, it quickly surpassed my 10/22 and Marlin 60 and became my favorite .22 rifle. Only problem was that the stock front sight was almost useless for me. I don't know why the stock sight blade is not thinner and why it couldn't have a brass bead.

But, regardless, for about $30 shipped I got the new sight from MidwayUSA. No problem installing it. Only complaint is that the metal does not match the blue on my barrel. It's a brown finish.

Works like a charm, though. That thing just lights up like a little beacon in daylight and makes it much, much easier to shoot.

Yes, the front sight on the Henry does leave a lot to be desired.... glad you got a fix. Mine is scoped and I am spoiled with it!:supergrin:

My octagon barrel Henry has a thin front sight with a bead. Do you have a youth model? I noticed my grandson's youth model has a thick blade. I love the sights on mine.

Yours has Marbles sights. They are entirely different sights than the ones that come on the H001. H001's come with a hooded blade on the front. No brass bead or dot. My Marlin 60 has a similar front sight, but the blade is much slimmer.
