I didn't see the part where it comes with an ounce of gold.
Seriously? I can get a Springfield Custom 1911 for less than that.
Sorry, but the TRP doesn't come close. I have both.
I just sent him the above message. I can't stand sellers trying to rip people off. Of course, the buyer would have to be pretty stupid, but that's ridiculous.

A fool and his money...
I don't blame sellers for trying to take adavnatge of the market. That's what its all about. However, there's a point where I draw the line.
That's just trying to rip somebody off. A buyer may confuse it with this, which is the real SA Custom Operator. There is a big difference.

I hope it comes with a pot of lube at least.
Here's the response I got from the seller.
The auction he linked looked as though a bidding war broke out between two complete morons. Its amazing how friggen stupid some people are.
$3000 for a TRP. Are you kidding me? :faint:
Here is one that just sold on here for $2975. Apparently some people think they are worth that much. Hopefully mine will eventually sell for close to that.

:wow:
The last three bidders had a total of two transfers.
A two is more than double their combined IQ.

Since we are on the subject of fair market value, any suggestions where you can research adequate value? Specifically, I have been wanting a Korth revolver, been having a difficult time trying to determine how much I should pay.

For that price I would buy a Wilson Combat:wow:

For me it would be a Springfield Custom shop CMP legal hardball gun, and maybe a couple more GI's. Well maybe a GI and a half.

That is true I suppose, if you never want to aspire to better yourself.
A good 1911 is worth 30 Glocks at least.

That reminds me of the Les Baer cardboard box thread where all the Glock Fanboys were screaming "I could buy six glocks for what you paid for that!"

Gunbroker is a good indicator of what things are selling for.
Specialty guns like a Korth are worth what people will spend. You can't buy a new Korth revolver for less than $5000. Most are closer to $10K.

I assumed the gun would cost me over 5k, however, after the posts on this thread and seeing how some people overpay on GB I want another source of fair pricing to match up to finished Gunbroker auctions.

Maybe so, Michael.
I know you can't get them from Korth USA for under $5K.

I think South Dakota has plenty of it and the gunbroker seller has a habit.
Korth USA is not related to Korth Waffen.
I've never bought from either, actually.
That's interesting though.
