Did they change writers?

For the first episode of the season it wasn't as good as any episode from last season.

This thread confuses me

The theory was many moons ago God and Satan were hanging out, BS'ing while drinking some beers:

Satan: My new 338 Lapua is one heck of a gun, I can knock the cherry off of a lit cigarette from a mile away!

God: Nice, but I got a 50 cal.

Satan: Oh really? (cause usually when someone spouts off that they have a 50 BMG they are just trying to one up you)

God: Yep, watch this.....BOOM!!!!

The universe could not contain the pure awesomeness of the 50, the energy expelled started the chain of reactions known as the "big bang theory"

The thread title "Bye Bye Big Bang Theory" relates to what was found at the bottom of the largest crater on Pluto. The Hubble telescope sent back pictures of what appear to be a bullet from a 600 Nitro Express, expelling the theory that a 50 BMG created the universe as we know it.

Make sense?

I watched last night's episode, found it funny as normal, and thought the writers need to do less about the guys and their girls, and just get back to doing more basic nerd humor.

I have no idea what the OP is going on about, the show hasn't been cancelled near as I can tell.

Does this theory have anything to do with three of the guys being in relationships now,(four if Raj "goes gay" with the guy who runs the comic book store.)

Very few shows are. How long can the writers keep using the same premice and get different results? They can't get into more of the science side because the viewers are too stupid to understand.

Sheldon is still a hoot. The ultimate nerd with a great ability to recite information. Mr. Palmer has to have a very good brain.

On January 12, 2011, CBS announced that the show had been renewed for an additional three years, extending it through the 20132014 season.

For those that watched it.

The sixth season premiere of The Big Bang Theory was watched by 15.66 million people and scored a 9.3/16 rating in households. It was the night's #1 program in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. That episode also received the show's largest audience and highest 18-49 demo rating ever for a season premiere.

What do you know we don't? Or are you just saying you didn't enjoy the episode? It wasn't one of my favorites. Pretty dull.

They need to go back the the males being SCIENCE geeks, not comic store geeks. I like the arcane science references in the first few seasons. Now the only thing remotely science based is Howard in space.

Sure, it's not mainstream, but there should be some shows that go after the niche of intelligent people who own TVs.

If the season 6 opener had been the first episode I saw, it would have been the last. Also, it seemed that the PACE of the dialog was off, it seemed ponderous.

It reminds me of all the people I knew from college, excepting the women I dated and one I was briefly engaged to. That is not to say the ladies weren't smart. But, sorority girls and former cheerleaders don't typically fit that mold.

I look at the characters and can associate them and their habits with real people I've known.

That makes it hillarious to me anyway.

I've always though of BBT as being a show dumb people watch because they think it's something smart people would watch. Plenty of references are thrown in that most people have heard of at one time or another (oh, Schrodinger's Cat! I've heard of that, I GET IT!) to make them feel like nerds themselves. Notice that nothing in the show is very deep...

Ah well. I've burned enough brain cells over here that I've seen every episode.

The women are all pretty. But, then, again, that is why they are on television.

I knew a lot of nerds and geeks in college. None of them look as photogenic as characters on the show.

That is why it is television.

Lol... I had one girl in any of my computer science classes: far from photogenic but petite and blonde. She never washed her greasy hair and used duct tape to create a head band to hold her hair out of her face.

She had potential but was obviously never interested in clothes and makeup and looking attractive.

She's either buried in a lab right now working away (still oblivious/not caring) or she's sitting at home with 5 cats wondering why she doesn't go on dates (oblivious).
