All kinds of things are being said to suppress votes for Romney.

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/10/27/Romney-Increases-lead-In-national-swing-state-poll

This will come down to who votes. If we vote we win. I don't care what the dims say. If we go out and vote, we win. This is about ending the 4 year nightmare! This is about correcting a national mistake. It isn't about abortion or the made-up "war on women." It isn't about binders or big bird. It is about the destruction of our economy, the debacle in Benghazi, the corrupt gifting of money to "green" energy companies, Fast and Furious, a justice dept. run amuck, the EPA run amuck, and many more scandals! Don't like one of the scandals? Pick another. There are plenty! But all of these have resulted in a failed presidency.

But that is nothing but a rant unless we get out and vote. Celebrate your ability to make your statement. Vote!

If you're not for protecting women against voilence, then you are for perpetrators who offend women.

Or, maybe you're for equally protecting all persons against violence. There's something in the Constitution about that I think ... oh yeah, the equal protection clause.

I don't believe people are stupid enough to let Obama have 4 more years. So yea, I think Romney will win in a landslide.

I wish I had your optimism. I think most people are distracted, don't pay attention, don't care or just plain stupid. With that said, I pray you are right.

Mitt Romney can't win this election. Mitt Romney can make the good argument about the economy and the debt, but unfortunately for him he's also running against a sleeping giant. Woman's rights.

If anyone doesn't think a Mitt Romney win can and will have an effect on Rowe v Wade is dangerously misinformed. Whether that effect will be positive or negative depends on your perspective.

The Right is going to perceive a Romney win as a mandate for agenda's far beyond the concepts of debt reduction and tax reform. The Dem's hold a lead in the Senate, now but heaven help my daughters and granddaughters if that should change.

If you lack the internal organs to grow, nurish then birth human life (IMHO) you really don't have a say in the matter. You literally didn't build that. GTF out of my babies womb.

Mitt Romney would be glad to sign personhood amendments and the Republimens would be happy to write them. Don't kid yourself otherwise.

My goodness, a scare monger.

You want to see what will happen to your rights?

Allow obama a few SC nominations.

Just someone too foolish to look past the next election. Facts are those kind of people really dont give a rip about real freedoms anyway. As long as you can have an abortion and have a protest your freedoms are covered in many peoples books.

Stop listening to NPR

Suffolk University pollster David Paleologos, whose polls are aggregated into mainstream averages to show where the presidential race stands in the swing states, said he’s finished polling in Florida, North Carolina and Virginia because President Obama has no shot of winning those states.

“I think in places like North Carolina, Virginia and Florida, we’ve already painted those red, we’re not polling any of those states again,” Paleologos said Tuesday night on Fox’s "The O’Reilly Factor." “We’re focusing on the remaining states.”

I see a solid Romney victory forming.

I do not expect him to get NV. Possible but the union influence in that state is too strong.

Romney WILL get:

CO +4
IA +2-4
WI (possibly) Tie, up in likely voters
OH (possibly) now up 2%, Trending Romney
NH +2-4%
VA +2-4%
NC +6%
FL +2-6%

271-290 votes.
National trend is there
Swing state aggregate is there.
Individual polling is there by swing state.

NV, MN, WI, PA may be in play and could be icing on the cake.

I agree that a Romney win is in the works. I think WI just might surprise everyone and go red. But I doubt PA does. I don't want to get my hopes up, but I have a real good feeling.

Hey all,

It's great to see my thread still going. I thought it would've died out long ago. I've been without a laptop for a couple weeks and it's been tedious as all get out to try to use my 7 inch Kindle Fire to browse GT. If I don't get my laptop fixed soon I am going to have to use TapaTalk or something to make it better.

Well I have to say that I too am feeling more and more optimistic. For the first time I have felt like Romney could actually pull this thing off. Ohio is looking better for us for sure. I also like what I am seeing about place that were once thought completely Soetero territory, lock, stock and barrel. NO CHANCE for Romney. I am talking about Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, and maybe a couple more. He probably won't win any of these BLUE states, but I am NOT giving up on them and am still praying for the people there that they will make the best choice for the country and their fellow man by electing Romney. This country is on a fast road to GREECE if something isn't done. For the first time in a long time I have thought that the choice we have is very critical to the very survival of the Republic that we know as the USA. I really believe that after another 4 years of Soetero will will have a country that isn't recognizable or be the place that our fathers and grandfathers fought, bled and died to preserve. That country is teetering on the edge of the abyss. It's going to take some serious people to get us turned around. We can't afford a "Community Organizer" running the largest and most complicated "corporation" this world has ever seen. You have seen what that gets you after only 4 years.

I could go on and on, but I am going to have to go back and start reading from the beginning to see what you all are saying. I know there are some good things buried back in the previous pages and I gotta see what they are.

One last thing, my mom's husband has believed and said for several weeks now that Romney will win in a landslide. I don't know if he is talking about Reagan-Mondale kinda landslide or Soetero-Mccain "landslide." When he started saying it I thought he was a NUT, but now I'm not sure what I think. At this point I'd take an Electoral College victory of 270-268. I have to admit though, I sure would love to see a Reagan type of BLOWOUT happen a week from today. Can you imagine how entertaining it would be to watch NBC and PMSNBC if something like that happened? It would be great TV for sure. Wonder what kind of feeling Chris Matthews would be having up his leg if that happened?
They could have Colin Powell, Michael Moore, Babs Striesand, Howard Dean and several others that have the same mental illness all in one big room talking about how it was all a HUGE RACIST CAMPAIGN that got it done and we were back to the Jim Crow days now.

Sadly, if Romey only won by 1 vote there are lots of NUTBAGS like those I mentioned that will absolutely be calling the USA a RACIST nation if Soetero loses. It is so easy to predict that kinda trash taking place that it should be funny, but it isn't.

BHO is making a big ad buy in PA this week.

Ask yourself why he is doing this now.

PA was supposed to be "in the bag" for him.

PA is now very likely to go for Romney.

Without PA, BHO has no path to victory. The electoral college numbers just won't add up for him.

If he loses PA, he can forget about Ohio. It's all over.

Frankly I'll still be surprised if Romney wins but the fact that he now has a shot speaks volumes. If the Dems screw this up it will only barely outshine the Republicans utter deafness on stupid social issues.

They've been loaded with lies too.

The crap about saving detroit/auto industry.

Really? Selling $80,000 Volts for less then $25,000 is sustainable?

Buying GM in the 50s when its now in the 20's, losing 60% of our investment was a good idea?

People now refusing to buy it cause its "Government Motors" and preferring Ford instead cause they didn't take government money?

And the economy moving again? My ass. 1.3% growth net of government spending doesn't even keep up with population growth.

Steady stream of lies.

If you go by the model that dems have gone by for years, Romney winning early votes in huge numbers is a good indication that many people have turned. The fact that this race is within the margin of error tells me that anyone can win. If you factor in that undecides this late normally vote for the challenger.. leans in Romneys favor but I still think its a toss up.

I think if it remains close, Romney will win. There is a silent majority when it comes to politics. Being conservative isn't "cool." Just look at the mainstream media: NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN all lean left. Fox only leans right. The silent majority showed up to reelect Scott Walker in WI by an even greater margin than the first election. I think it will happen in the presidential election too.

Yes, I really do think Romney will win.

Obama won in 2008 due to his promised "Hope and Change". People from all over turned out to make that a reality, and make history for electing the first black President. In 2008, it was the "cool" thing to vote for Obama.

Fast forward to 2012, where voting for Obama isn't quite as cool, and where we are still waiting for the promised hope and change. The turnout is guaranteed to not be as large, since it's not a huge, history making event this time around.

Which means every dollar you have will have massively decreased buying power, which is an invisible pay decrease, same effect as a tax on everyone, this will cause a big decrease in standard of living... And who will be hit the hardest, the middle class or the "rich"?

Fact is, freedom, both economic and personal is what is best for everyone, upper, middle and lower class. The man that represents this is Romney, NOT Obama. Obama's vision will create a 2 class America, the elites and an under class. The only people who should actually be supporting Obama are those that are in the lower class AND lack the ambition to climb out and would rather have a guberment hand out.

Did a little editing and fixed it up for you. Romney's vision is to farm our workforce out to the highest bidder. That's his big 12 million job creation plan; to do away with minimum wage and unions and create a environment conducive to low paying, transient jobs. The Bain Capital way. Yeah. Staples is a great store, but is that what your career plans are? Retire as a head cashier at Staples.

American interest overseas will be tested as will Romney's (in)ability to draw allied support. 'Personhood' goes off the chart and we will still have an AWB.

More to the latter than the former ... That is why Romney/Ryan will not and can not win. Poor attitudes towards middle class people. I am not in a union but I recognize and appreciate their importance. Teachers unions, law enforcement unions, manufacturers ... and most other decent Americans recognize them too.

Here Comes The Landslide For Romney

In addition in the Senate - Eight GOP takeaways and two giveaways for a net gain of six. A 53-47 Senate, just like we have now, only opposite.

Barack Obama’s parting gift to the Democratic Party.

FWIW: http://www.politico.com/blogs/burns-haberman/2012/11/former-hillary-aide-backs-romney-148251.html

Quote: "For most of my life, I've been an active Democrat. I am proud to have worked for President Bill Clinton and then-Senator Hillary Clinton, and, during that time, I saw firsthand what can be accomplished by strong, bipartisan leadership. I know what it means to work across the aisle on issues that are important to the American people. And that's why I am supporting Mitt Romney. Governor Romney has a plan to restore the prosperity this country deserves and expects. He will work with people of good will no matter what their party, and he will pursue the policies that are in the best interest of our country, no matter who proposes them. That's what President Obama promised to do four years ago. But like so many of his promises, bipartisan cooperation is just another one he has broken. We can't have four more years of failed policies and two parties that can't work together. We need the change Mitt Romney is offering."

I'll be the first one to tell you that many of the democratics platform on gun issues is just plain wrong, but I don't believe they want to ban all gun ownership and/or take away our guns. I do empathize with a society trying desperately to deal with gun related chaos. Cmon, the President has nothing to do with gas prices, regardless of who is in office. Supply and demand, the oil companies, OPEC, etc. They control oil prices. What would you want Obama to do, cut the fed gas tax? That would save us 18 cents per gallon.

That simply is not true. Increasing refinery capacity would generate some downward pressure on gas prices over the long term. That is an executive function, all you have to do is issue the permits to allow it.

That simply is not true. Increasing refinery capacity would generate some downward pressure on gas prices over the long term. That is an executive function, all you have to do is issue the permits to allow it.

A company still has to want to increase capacity or build new refineries. I think the President can help make an environment in which gas prices can go down, but the oil co's still need to choose to increase capacity, import more, etc.

That isn't true. They can't choose to do it now, they are not allowed to. They would build more refineries in a second if they could, they would love to be at 125% of production vs the total us demand.

Some of these states that some polls are showing as in play are really not. There is no way a heavily union state like Michigan is going R. Pennsylvania isn't in play either. The population centers of the state will vote D and carry the rest of the state kicking and screaming with them.

It will all come down to Ohio. I'd get comfortable with the likelihood of having 4 more years of Pres Obama.

Except that Michigan overwhelmingly voted for a Republican governor a couple years ago after 8 years of a democrat who ran the state into the ground. Michigan voted for Reagan in both 80 & 84 so it could happen again.

I think the polls are unreliable. We are seeing skewed polling. For example, one pollster sampled 9% more democrats following 2008 turnout...yet significantly less democrats are turning out now.

I think a more telling sign is the turnout in early voting. Democratic turnout is significantly lower than 2008. Republican turnout is significantly higher than 2008. Republicans are stronger in election-day voting than democrats.

Early voting in OH. Rove noted on FoxNews this morning...
GOP has increased their early turnout by more than 100k from 2008. Dems down 150k. That is 250k net (Obama won in 2008 by 260k). Historically, GOP has a much stronger turnout on election day.

Take a serious step back and look at yourselves.

How can either of you "two party" supporters proudly vote for your candidates?

Romney/Ryan - Supporting espionage on Americans, GUN BANS, free market manipulation, bailouts, medical care, and wars. Have you seen the flip flop videos???? Unbelievable.

Obama/Biden - Well... ditto.

If some joker came in GNG acting like either of these 2 clowns trying to explain themselves, he'd be laughed and ridiculed right the freak out of here. It's really sad what the voting standard has become.

When will it EVER be a time to get behind someone with a degree of integrity? The answer is/was now. But yet it's another dog and pony show.

A late word from Paul. It's from CNN and the chick sounds like Kool Aid drinker, but I think it's worth a listen.

I have electoral as 303 Obama, 206 Romney as of now. The popular vote is 58,156,996 vs. 56,130,459 for the "two" candidates. Waiting on Florida but she's leaning blue.

Help me understand this. Should the Republicans find someone who will step in the social dog sheet of gays and abortion EVEN more? Should the Republicans find someone who will be EVEN more hypocritical, calling for smaller government and less regulation while trying to pass laws (on the above) that have zero to do with running the country?

The Dems seem (operative word there) to be smart enough to avoid the gun issues, at least publicly. I know they are working behind the scenes. Will the Republicans learn to let go some of the issues that have lost them the race now twice? Dunno.

Again, help me out here. I TOTALLY get that Romney was not ideal, but the way I see it, he lost because of the typical Republican right wing religious pandering, not because he was too moderate.

The door was opened during the primaries, with that whole circus about who was more hardcore. Who would follow the bible most closely. Biggest gift that could possibly have been handed the Democrats and they didn't waste an ounce of it.

I guess we'll have to hope for Chris Christie in 2016, or is he not hard core enough? Not worrying about what everyone does in their private lives enough?

Then on top of that they made the Massachusetts moderate pander to the American Taliban.

They need a guy who is a true fiscal conservative with principle. Socially he should be for small government.
