Not sure how losing to another SEC team warrants a thread laughing at the SEC.

I know, I just didn't want to put the results in the title.
Isn't LSU the anointed perfect SEC team? Well along with bama.

You mean the LSU that went to third under Oregon and then fourth under Florida State? That LSU?
How in the world could that be considered perfect?
Weird.

Yeah and the SEC also produced a team to conquer such a juggernaut.

My guess is LSU will be around 10th now in Monday's polls. Might squeak 8th.
LSU has been on the ragged edge of losing all year.

Uh...no. LSU is an excellent team. Just wasn't their night. Bama...still an overwhelming team. And the SEC, perhaps a look at the number of highly ranked SEC teams would be helpful.
LSU hasn't looked the same since Alabama raped them in the Championship.
The wife's a Gator so we were rooting for them, but didn't think they had this win in them. Good for them, but it is a foregone conclusion that Alabama is going to win it all ... again.
Just another SEC hater trying to find something to crow about . Keep trying ....

This "bama" team that you refer to.......isn't that the team that beat Michigan 41-14?

Florida still has Georgia (another SEC team) ranked #5, and South Carolina (another SEC team) ranked #6. If we get through those and don't cough up a lung against Missouri or Vanderbilt, our reward will be that we'll get to play Alabama (you've heard of them, right? Another SEC team) for the conference title. If we pull of the aforementioned wins AND manage to beat FSU (not an SEC team), we'll deserve a shot at the title. I'll be happy with a split of Georgia and South Carolina.

It works the same way it does when an SEC team wins and the SEC is king of everything. When you're good you're golden and you're bad you stink.
I was shocked to see the #3 team in the country struggle so. Maybe they can turn it around next time.
They got what today, 8 first downs and 3 of those were on penalties.

LSU was overrated, they usually are. I've watched them blow more games in the fourth than about anyone else I can think of.(Though my boys at Ohio State try their best to equal them) The SEC is far and away the best conference in the country. I don't think Florida nor Oregon will run the table. I think West Virginia of all people has a very good chance or ruining a one loss SEC team from playing the undefeated SEC team for the national title.

It has been over TEN YEARS since LSU lost a regular season game to a non-conference team. Notable non conference wins during that decade include:
Arizona (2 times)
Oklahoma
Oregon State
Arizona State
Miami
Notre Dame
Virginia Tech
Ohio State
Georgia Tech
Washington (2 times)
North Carolina
West Virginia(2 times)
Texas A&M and
Oregon
So an LSU loss to an Undefeated Florida team that has won Two National Titles during the 10 year run referenced above hardly sounds the death nell for the SEC.

People are talking like Florida is some little piss ant school. They've had a few off years here lately, but with their budget and recruiting power, they won't stay down long. It looks like they have a good coaching staff right now. People shouldn't be surprised when Florida turns out to be a contender.

Really needed more close ups of Spurrier to help GA fans feel better:rofl: Pure salt in the wounds.
