I wish I'd stayed at B's, and not B&B's...

Breakfast was, shall we say...awful.

The mushrooms, on the other hand, were to die for.

You guys are about as helpful as a bout of diarrhea.

I'll let you know if it's good or if I instead burn the house down.

Cook it like they do, boil it. Smoked streaky Bacon is the only way to go.

It looks more like sliced ham with bacon (pork belly) attached.

If your talking about back bacon, then simple snip the rind in a few places and pan fry. Only needs a few minutes per side. You can use a bacon press if it rolls!

Also, real British Bacon is illegal to import into the USA. Much of the Britsh style Bacon found is either made in the USA or imported Danish Bacon.

Best way is the straightforward old fashioned way. On a skillet, using medium-high heat. With British bacon you have to make at least one addition. Quarter a couple of ripe tomatos, and once the fat gets to coating the pan put the tomatos in, and cook them just until the skins start to peel off. Get them just slightly burned on one side and don't try to turn them over or anything. And don't let all the juices flow out. Just take them out when seared in such a manner and serve with the bacon.

Oh yes...good breakfasts in Germany! Love the pastries as well!

Breakfasts in Scotland, however (or most anywhere in the British Isles, for that matter)...:puking:

I have switched to oven baking bacon. Quick, Evenly done, very quick (I said it again) and always flat uniformly done. No more bacon frying pans for me.
