View Full Version : What is this 800-0 numbe that keeps calling me?
For the last couple o weeks I've been getting calls from this 800-0 number. If I answer it will just hang up on me after a few seconds.
It's getting annoying. What is this number?
It is a fat chick butt dialing you.
google the number. chances are there is already commentary about it.
Goggle brought up nada. And I'm done with fat chicks.
I get at least one or two of those a days...usually ill just turn up the radio and let it play for them, they stay on there for an extra 3-5 seconds as opposed to if I say hello and it instantly disconnects.
I doubt it's a human calling. Probably some software designed to fish something but it's annoying. Anyways, I totally forgot I can blacklist it.
4 times today already. Friggin annoying.
I started getting calls and messages (on my cellphone) from some strange numbers, like that.
Turns out, I got billed for "Premium Messaging". $19.99 each time!!!!
Call your cellphone provider and get those numbers blocked!!
I had 'Premium Messaging' blocked on all lines.
The nice lady at the cellphone provider, said that anyone can randomly insert a number, if they want ringtones, etc., and have it billed to that 'random' number.
She reviewed my phone bills for the last 6 months, and credited me a LOT of $$$!!!
If I don't recognize the number or there is no caller ID, I don't answer my phone. I have gotten calls from the Utah area code and let it go to voice mail. There is never any message.
"They" are tracking you. Wrap your head and your cell phone in foil, immediately!
And I'm done with fat chicks.
Butt are they done with you?
Some offshore auto-dialer companies have been fishing lately for active numbers. They keep calling until they get a voice or VM to validate that the line is active; if it isnt they keep calling until it is.
Apparently there is very little you can do to them - for instance, Comcast will not allow you to block all 800 numbers. You can block individual ones, but only up to a certain number - and these autodialers constantly rotate numbers.
One thing that I have started to do is answer, then put them directly on hold. Since there is no voice, their software keeps the line open for a few minutes which delays it from calling the next number. It's an incremental thing - you may delay them 5 minutes today, but after a few days you have actually delayed them an hour or two off their schedule.
Eventually that auto-dialer company will take you off the list since you are causing them to get off schedule. They'll add you back eventually though.
And this is why my wife and I are removing out land line. UGH.
I call the number back to see if someone answers and tell them to remove me from their call list. I then go online to the "DO NOT CALL" site and file a complaint. After awhile they may stop calling, if not I keep filing a complaint for eack call.............
It's Wo Fat. . he wants to know where you stashed the microfilm. . .
