I often wonder what Russia's Nuclear stockpile numbers are?? Maybe its google time.

Does it matter? The number of warheads is huge, but the critical number is how many are readily deployable.

Consider the end result of a "small nuclear war" in which Washington, NYC, Pensacola, Chicago, San Diego and LA are hit. The socioeconomic and political aftermath would be horrible. That's just six hits. Submarine-launched ICBMs could do this with no problem.

Spending a third of a trillion on one bomb is just insane.
