Their excuse is there were 70 people in attendance at the wedding.
Mmkay,... there are 314,500,000 people in America. What are the chances you'd pick 70 of them at random and one of them was in attendance at the wedding in question and also moderates the Presidential debate?
Pretty nil.

It would seem that a recusal is in order to preclude appearances of Conflict of Interest...

Media Fairness: Obama's Buddy Moderates Debate.Uh, actually it looks like it's Obama's buddy's ex-wife. Bit of a difference, don't you think?

Of course, twisting the truth is just fine, as long as it's twisted in "your" direction, right? Ironic when you headline your post "Media Fairness".

.I guess in your "normal" world where you hang around and chum it up with your buddies' ex-wives all the time, it would seem a little twisted. :whistling:

You do realize, of course, that rank and file democrats are masters of that strategy? They have perfected it, using as a willing accomplice the socialist-left media?

Nothing will save Biden. He's going to get mauled, although he won't make the same mistake Obama did, he will likely produce noteworthy gaffes in his effort to appear as lively as possible.

I just find it funny that the strategy is so obviously embraced by conservatives and republicans, even though they're so often on the losing end of it.

.Do you have cut-n-paste comebacks for those times where relevent ones are impossible?

It really shouldn't be surprising.

I'll give an example;

In 2008, Gwen Illel moderated the palin vs biden vice presidential debate. It was just coincidental that she had a book, The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama, to be released on Inauguration Day 2009.

I think that's a conflict of interest, but what do I know.
