Just another reason why Calif. is going broke.

Guess in L.A. they can pick and chose what laws they want to enforce. Must be nice.

...With a helping hand from Obama and the "Justice" department...Municipalities know they can thumb their noses at any immigration laws that don't agree with their political agenda.

I didn't realize that it was a city cop's job to enforce federal laws.

It's not their job to cooperate with other LE agencies ? ...

LAPD has always cooperated with ICE but I'm sure that the racist hispanic mayor ORDERED the chief not to cooperate with ICE.

Watch for crime to increase as the illegals commit a ton of crime in L.A. Over 60% of the hit & run accidents are committed by illegals.

Will be interesting to see what the citizens do about this new policy.

It boggles the mind that someone doesn't know about cooperation between local and federal law enforcement.

I didn't realize that it was a city cop's job to enforce federal laws.

City, County, State LE have enforced federal laws since 1787; conducting investigations for bank robbery, car jacking, kidnapping, drug dealing/transporting, murder, etc.

LE does not have the authority to simply ignore laws, regardless what the liberals desire to believe and want for their imagined Socialist utopia.

look. washington d.c. loves illegals. so when a illegal is found, put them on a bus with a one way ticket, 50 dollars, tourist map of d.c. and a box lunch. you'll save millions in state taxes.

If LE can ignore the enforcement of certain laws, can I ignore obeying certain laws?

They have a name for failing to enforce the law. It's called NEGLECT OF DUTY.

Are you making a case for more Federal cops in every city?

Unless the City of L.A. or State of CA have their own immigration laws, then this is just political posturing as municple and state officers do not enforce federal law.

Then why have any laws at all? Lets get rid of them all! That way we don't have to spend any money on the cops/judges /DA's/prisons we can get rid of ICE/FBI/BATF/BP etc. We don't need them. Now do you see how stupid your post was?:faint:

Well, that is the most successful case coming from a liberal in about 4 years, in fact that is a resounding success (within the margin of error of course)
