Tell me about it. Only thing to look forward to for tomorrow is I have Saturday off. But Friday is my long day, 12 hours on the box and 8 hours on patrol.

Remember, retirement is still a long way off for some of us.

Always a good thing to keep in the back of one's mind. Never go home with more holes in you than what you came to work with.

And, four years, thirteen days until eligible to retire.

I wish we got that at the end of our roll calls. Today our glorious supervisors had this to say to close our beginging roll call, "Good Luck!" WTF is that supposed to mean?

Tell me about it... 19 years, 240 days until elligible, more likely to retire in about 29 years 240 days, give or take.

Good luck is an all around good feeling thing. Good luck in having a successful day catching speeders, and going home whole at the end of your shift could easily be what it means, or it could mean anything else germane to what you do for a living.

I guess it was the tone and the context around it. As of late, admin has been on a warpath of jamming up officers. Came across in more of a "good luck not ******* up tonight" tone. Hoping it was meant to be in an uplifting fashion, but it didn't seem that way.

11 years before they will let me go. I guess I can think positively. I have more time in than I have to go.

Some higher ups have been getting that way in our own agency. Fortunately most of our direct line supervisors are not going that way.

Hey it's way better than the "Well guys, hopefully I'll see all of you tomorrow." line.

Or... "Look around you, someone will be fired by the end of shift."

Sounds like you've got some real motivational leaders there...

Why have leaders to motivate us when we got posters to do that.

Outhouse Hub, the misinformation solution.

It's better than that, we have leaders that motivate us everyday... to apply out and get a job elsewhere as fast as we can.
