My first thought "CNN? I wonder what their game is?"

Second thought "If it's the true results they must be choking"

"By a 50%-41% margin, debate watchers say that Ryan rather than Biden better expressed himself..."

You know...this is the kind of thing that make me think that Obama has bigger trouble than he realizes.

~ "CNBC is reporting that Ryan crushes Biden by 20 points; 56% believed Ryan won to Biden's 36%." ~

The numbers over the "next few days" will tell the whole story.

Biden vs. Ryan? Out with the old. In with the new.

A tie isn't good enough for Romney to win the election. He's still behind in Ohio and is tied in 3 swing states he MUST win to have a chance.

Ryan had the numbers on his side last night. He could have stuck a knockout punch to put his ticket ahead. I was disappointed with his performance.

Agree to a point: Its a start and "moving up fast"
CNN chart dont look like a 'tie" and thats `sayin` `somethin`

The chart does look like a tie. The difference between the percentage of those who thought Biden won and the percentage of people who though Ryan won is 4%, while the poll's margin of error is 5%. Thus, the poll suggests that Americans are split on who won the debate.

Romney still has a lot of room to make up before he can be considered a possible winner. Unless he can convince some Ohio Obama voters to switch to him, or unless he can put Michigan, Wisconsin or Pennsylvania into play, this contest is over.

In other words, it is your considered, expert opinion that "If he doesn't win he will lose"?

I got it

That's an unscientific online poll. It tells us nothing about how Americans perceived the debate.

CNN viewer/readers put Ryan ahead by 4% - that's not a tie unless you just want to pretend. Think, the opposite of Fox viewers saying Biden won by 4%.

I am viewing at a surprise in a number of ways and perhaps is telling of the make up of the folks involved.

The FOX viewers are saying that they (and you can assume they are a little conservative) think Biden won because they are used to the media slanting left and view themselves as, well, rather downcast about the abilities of most others to recognize it. They expect the left to be continually "oversampled" They have less expectation of "fairness from the media or poll results so they downgrade their candidate unless he delivers a huge performance.

Many undecideds and folks on the left were shocked by Biden's arrogance and they are the ones putting Ryan in the "Win" column.
