Man, it must be miserable to be in his situation. Like what the good Lord saids, Ask and it will be given to you .

Instead of surgery man pedals off the pounds. (http://www.npr.org/2012/10/09/162586325/instead-of-surgery-man-pedals-off-the-pounds) What an amazing concept.

Kudos to that guy, but I dont believe that will work for the guy in the OP's post since he has a damaged knee and pelvis and no way to pay for rehab. Best thing for him would be gastric bypass or a similar surgery.

Good to look for help.

But his condition is His lifestyle, his lifestyle, DNA, his lifestyle, his lifestyle, the accident and his lifestyle.

The sooner he owns up to the fact that this is only HIS fault, the faster he'll shed the pounds. His friends aren't helping by giving him crutches.

Well, he could eat 1500 calories a day, I bet that would make a dent.

If he can't get through the door, someone has to be feeding him too much.

There is no excuse to let oneself go like that.

Stop eating.

I see these programs on TV about people that can't even get out of bed and I wonder why the people providing them with all that food, are not charged with attempted murder? :dunno:

Not serious, of course but really, someone does not have their best interest in mind to continue to provide that kind of caloric intake.

Yes maam, and its what separates the man from his bike saddle. Too much pressure and things go numb. Too much of that and they cease to work.

They make seats to help with that problem. I have one and it makes a HUGE difference.

Zero sympathy for the guy. It's not like you just get fat for no reason. It's a pretty well understood phenomenon.

Now the dude who actually got up off his ass and did something about his weight, I can respect that. Even if he does look funny riding a bike.

Have him watch "fat, sick and almost dead" then see if he wants to juice.

hey, a guy is suing b.m.w. because his motorcycle seat allegedly caused a 42 day...ummmm...."happy"? (i think that's politically correct)

as far as losing weight and surgery, the side effects can be life threatening.

a little at a time. only way to do it. diet modification and exercise.

I was looking at getting a mountain bike to help with losing weight and just looking at those new tiny seats made my junk go numb...

Is it bad that I really don't feel sorry for the guy in the OP's post?

A guy that fat doesn't want to be that fat. He's miserable. Consider him mentally ill.

Chris Davis, the guy in the links im posting, weighed 696 in 2010. Now hes at under 300 and has completed a Spartan Beast(12 mile obstacle course). Its amazing what some exercise and a healthy diet will do for a person if they will try. I know the guy in the original article has some health issues due to his accident, but Chris Davis proves that most people have no excuse.
