55gr TAP FPD ejecting differently than other ammo?

I shot some Hornady 55gr TAP FPD today and for some reason most of the ejected cases bounced off the wall and into my head. That never happens with other ammo (M193-types, Hornady 75gr, etc). I couldn't really see the ejection but obviously they are ejecting in a different pattern or weakly or something. Won't really make a different ordinarily but that's annoying at the range.

Anyone else ever notice anything like that? Wonder if it's because of the nickel cases? Or is rather weak ammo?

As long as your rifle is functioning properly, I wouldn't be concerned over slightly different ejection patterns. I believe others will post many good things about TAP ammo.

Also, try an outdoor range where there aren't walls......it's a lot more fun.
