Pikers.... I did the Paris Fri night skate a number of years ago while in Paris. Imagine what 10 to 15 thousand skaters does to traffic... Pretty amazing.

They arranged with the local gendarme ahead of time, on routes, police escort (cops on skates, bikes, motorcycles and cars) blocking intersections for them, ambulances following up the rear.

They'd literally have an intersection blocked for 10-15 minutes for the group to go by.
