Agency spokeswoman Carli Segelson says the eyeball likely came from a marine animal, since it was found on a beach. Possible candidates include a giant squid, a whale or some type of large fish.

Gee, you think?

Nebraska has a shore? :headscratch:

Since when and what is ocean-front property going for in Kearny?

That's what makes this perplexing!:tongueout: Drove thru Kearney several weeks ago and all I saw was sand in the Platte.

Well, the story was kinda interesting. I was hoping to follow the link and see that the eyeball was the size of a beach ball or something. That would have been really cool.

Thank God my eyeballs appear to be firmly implanted in their sockets. The whole eyeball popping out thing is creepy crazy. I guess it happens quite a bit to humans involved in accidents etc as it is in the news and movies and tv shows pretty frequently. Can your eyeball pop out and be put back with no damage?

no it probably caused that to happen actually..im betting the discharge of a 10MM from a boat on the surface caused the shockwaves to dislodge the eyeball. The guy on the boat was OCing and its all his fault.

That must have been one huge swordfish.

I caught one several years back that was large, but the eyes were not a quarter of the size.

That is what led to the Japanese Tsunami.

Believe me, if someone fired a 10mm into the water, we would all know. What do you think the "shot heard 'round the world" was?
