Damage to the sonar dome......That's a pretty expensive detector array to damage. Going to cost taxpayers a big lump.

Oh, and yes, someone or both will lose their job.

According to the article, the sub rose to periscope depth 100-200 yards ahead of the cruiser. I guess that would be the maritime equivalent of a "brake check". :whistling:

The one blind spot in a sub is directly overhead and 100-200 yards is an inch to those boys. Don't ask me how I know because then I'll have to terminate you!:supergrin:

The sub was just trying to recreate the scene from "Last Resort" where the sub surfaced under the boat of Navy Seals and picked it up out the water on it's back.
