between 45 win mag, 50 Gi, and which you would go with if given the chance?

The 50 is pretty low pressure. I'd take the 45 WinMag.

A few years ago, I got to shoot an LAR Grizzly in .45 Win Mag. It was VERY easy to shoot.

I didn't look, but which is cheaper? The 45 has no parent cartridge.

Actually, it is a shortened version of the Military's old .45 Revolver Ball ctg., i.e., the 230 gr. .45 Schofield rd. used in the Colt SAA as well. Obviously, the rim has been changed for a SA as well as a shortened case.

My bad. I had to wiki the 45, and that's what it said. Still, I'd take the speed over the diameter.

I just sold my Guncrafter Model 1 .50GI this morning, pending funds. The one in the classifides. It shoots great, and is very similar to a .45ACP +P as far as recoil goes. Big ole chunk of bullet coming at you.

It's not even close ......45 win mag smokes a .50 GI by SEVERAL hundred FPS.

isnt the win mag more on the lines of a .460 rowland. and the .50 gi is slower than a .45 acp standard pressure round
