A few years ago I posted this very thing and he pulled through. No getting out of this one alive.
I had help from B.Somm and AZDBLTRBL and other friends from GT when I was Glockerel.

Anyhow, Dad's in hospice in Surprise, AZ and not doing well. No nutrition, no water for 4 days. He's comfy and I'll be there Tuesday at noon, hopefully in time to tell him again what he's meant to me.

Hard to be so far away when this goes down.

Any prayers to ease his passing would be mighty welcome.

I understand the parent in PHX. And I may want to be the parent in PHX in 15 years. My mother missed a giant bullet with lung cancer last year. The next death shell will get her. The suzzy runs to PHX can be insane.

And I don't even want to think about the one that will put me and my siblings up against the clock.

May peace be with you and your parent.

Prayer sent. I have seen a lot of patients hold on until a relative from a far get there and they can feel their presence/touch or hear their voice. God be with you and your Father and Family at this time. I know that this time will be rough for you. I pray that God gives you the strength that you need in the upcoming days.

Prayers for him and you going out. I went through this same thing recently, although it wasn't a parent. As hard as it was to watch someone I love dying, I'll never regret being there for him. Neither will you. Sending you strength and comfort to get you through this painful time. If there's anything more I can do, let me know. :hugs:

My sympathies...I've been where you are at. Being there for him is the best thing you can do. A difficult and sad time. All the best and prayers sent.

Thank you all for the kind words. Dad died at 8pm last night. Glad my sister was there to comfort him. Wish I could've got there earlier, she had a helluva experience.
