View Full Version : Sling Q - Troy Battle Ax Stock
Got a Magpul 2 point Sling I want to attach to a Troy Battle Ax Stock. I need an attachment since the slot Troy puts on top is too small to attach the Magpul connector.
Can someone recommend something?
Thanks.

Stick a QD swivel in the socket facing away from your head when the rifle is shouldered, and hook your sling to that.
Or put it in the socket closest to the face so you can choke yourself when transitioning to the support side :)
Purchase a CTR.
I have one on another rifle but I like the Battle Ax better

oohh, double the sarcasm......

a genius I am not but I think I could have figured that out.
@Woodenplank - Thanks. I saw the mount on the side but was thinking the top might be the cheaper way to go. I'll just get a QD mount and call it good.
DFW has some of the best architecture I have ever seen.
cant you run the webbing through the slot on top and fasten with tri glides? that's how my vtac is attached to my ti-7

Buy a Noveske QD endplate and a QD swivel. It puts the sling in just behind the grip.

Use some paracord and make yourself an adapter :)
Or one of the many other suggestions.
I personally use Noveske QD receiver plates, DD QD Plates, or Magpul ASAP.
Don't be afraid to try something new. Something that works that is comfortable for you will work the best.
BTW, if you do an receiver plate QD with a snap hook sling, I found these D ring QDs work very well... http://damageusa.com/product/qd-sling-swivels
Thanks for the replies. I thought about paracord but didn't know if someone made something specifically for that. Just bought a QD mount yesterday for the stock so I should be good. I forgot I had an old HK style sling that would have worked but think I will like the Magpul sling better.
