Michelle was shooting with K.C. on the super squad at the Georgia State USPSA match a few weeks ago. She looks even smaller in person than on TV.

Yep, she was with KC when they shot our stage. She is a pretty girl. In which I believe is the reason they signed her for Team Glock, instead of her shooting.

That wasn't very kind... but Team Glock is also about 'grip and grin'.

I'm glad they are keeping the team going. They should pay some of the gssf masters like Butch to shoot.

GSSF does... every year at Conyers! :faint:

She was the high lady in the production division, but she wasn't the high lady overall. She was only about 20% better than me and that's pretty bad. LOL

She said, "I practice at least an hour every day." I am afraid that might not cut it, but I am not a competitive shooter so I may be wrong.

Well, I'll tell you... I was at the NRA National in April and Gunny and Tori were at the Glock booth. Gunny had his usual 2 mile, 8 hour long wait and Tori had one person in her line. I went up and spoke with her but she didn't give me the warm-fuzzies and was rather indifferent. A lot of jobs like these are the ability to relate to people. Granted, Tori is a lot younger than Michelle, and with different life's experiences, but if Michelle can shoot okay, and relate well, she'll do fine.

Team glock is a marketing thing as much or more than shooting. How many unattractive or unpersonable marketing reps have you ever met? None. She can always learn to shoot.

She shot the USPSA NC Sectional match here two weekends ago... did pretty good.

There are attractive women who can also shoot at a high level. From what I read elsewhere, she is a D class shooter in USPSSA at about 35% on her classifier of record. Granted, she could improve that greatly, but that is the word on her right now.

This is a bit of an insult to the ladies previously on Team Glock who were contenders and not just blatant eye candy.

At best, this gives Glock a black eye on the shooting circuit because everyone knows the score. The probability is that it is another scandal waiting to happen.

What's the score?? She has a background in shooting and she's military. Perhaps her life's priorties of late, have given her less time to practice than previous or current Team Glock members, but I wouldn't write her off BECAUSE she's attractive. Furthermore, the last scandal wasn't any female Team Glock shooter's fault as your post tends to imply.

I am well aware of what happened, and nothing I wrote implies anything about the victim in that case.

What I am saying about this newest team member is that she does not compare skill wise to previous members of the team. Maybe she will be competitive at some point, but she isn't now. There are plenty of lady shooters out there who are competitive. This clearly wasn't a choice made on skill. She is clearly a model first.

JulieG and Randi are shooters that parents can show their daughters as role models. The newest member is not an example that I would want to hold up to my daughter based upon her self promotional material, and this will be the source of PR problems pertaining to her.

I think it will be fun to watch an enthusiastic shooter advance in skill in a sport she clearly loves, just like us.

Good for her and glock.

Last I heard , Gunny wasn't that great at pistol competition either, but he does well for glock.

USPSA Classifiers can be tough to shoot. She is unclassified currently, but I can assure you... she is nowhere close to a 'D'. In fact, at the NC state match two weeks ago, she beat every D shooter, every C shooter but 1, and a boat load of B shooters. Plus one A shooter. She shot 65% of the 1st place guy, Michael Hollar who's a GM... I'd put her at a B. Low B maybe, but a B.

http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-display-match-results-detail.php?indx=6352&division=Production&guntype=Pistol

For someone who has just started... she's not a slacker.

They might not have hired her based on pure talent, but I wouldn't be surprised to see her move up the ladder pretty quickly.

One recruits new players based on potential. I knew David Sevigny before he worked for Glock. He was good then, but not world class.

She only shot 34% of the 1st place guy (KC Eusebio) at the GA State match. https://practiscore.com//match-results/uuid?uuid=340debd8-f7ab-11e1-9581-bad7e35106db&page=matchCombined

Maybe we have better shooters in GA. :whistling: Hold on. We're not comparing apples to apples. She shot 49% of the 1st place GM Rodney May. http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-display-match-results-detail.php?indx=6067&division=Production&guntype=Pistol

I think she's a pretty girl who has the potential to shoot at a higher level than what she is currently doing.

I agree...classifiers can be tough.

Michael Hollar finished (at that Georgia match) pretty close to Rodney May, the first place Production guy. He beat Rodney at the nationals a few days ago:

Hollar won the NC State match. He's legit. If she finished at 65% of him.... that's pretty dang good. Sounds like she's improving at a fast clip.

If you're talking about her crossed pistols, that's not a 'tramp stamp'.....also, take note that she's an MP.....hence the crossed pistols....did you see my avatar? :)

Or do you just not like that they are 1911's?

A simple google image search of her name will get you to many quite revealing photos of the type that a father wouldn't want his female junior shooter emulating.

Big deal. Other professional female shooters have modeling pictures too.

I do too...

I thought Dave was an excellent representative for Glock... KC is a good shooter, but as far as I know, he only shoots Open... I thought Dave shooting/winning in Production and Limited was good for Glock's image. Plus, he seemed like a genuinely nice guy... although I never met him.

Tramp Stamp is a common name for the tattoo some women put on their lower back, just above the jeans area.

ANY tattoo there, crossed guns or not.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lower-back_tattoo
Look under the "perception" heading.

Having said that, I haven't googled any photos of her and am assuming that is what he is talking about. But tattoos in any other area are not referred to with that slang.

KC shoots club matches with us, and he occasionally will shoot Production and Limited. He does well in those divisions too.
