View Full Version : GSSF in Eastern NC in 2013?
I haven't seen any 2013 dates- but I was hoping there might be a GSSF match somewhere in eastern NC?
I'm in the Raleigh area and have dying to shoot a GSSF event!
I've NEVER been to one, so pardon my newbie question, but what are the facility requirements for hosting an event?
I belong to 3 area clubs and would love to get something going here!
In the recent past, two matches were held in Creedmoore and one in Oxford. I think there were host range issues.
Information for hosting a match may be found at http://www.gssfonline.com/regforms/Application%20to%20Host.pdf

Go shoot Morganton this spring and see for yourself.

Few of us have the luxury of a GSSF match in our backyard.
I live in Charlotte, and have traveled to Atlanta, Knoxville, and Columbia for matches. If it's within 4 hours (one way).... it's worth going to shoot. For those, I'll drive over Friday night and get hotel, get up and shoot match and drive home.

And if you did, who would want to limit themselves to one match a year?
I'm in Charlotte too and shoot Columbia Conyers and Summerville. Except Conyers it is a day trip.

There are none in Virginia. I've traveled, in the past, to:

Topton, PA
Lexington, KY
Beckley, WV (closest match ever)
Creedmore, NC*
Oxford, NC*
Statesville, NC*
Morganton, NC
Knoxville, TN
Anderson, SC*
Conyers, GA
Ft. Benning, GA* (greatest distance)
Richmond, VA*
* denotes no longer on the schedule
Gotcha. So when will they post the 2013 dates so I can plan ahead?
The 2013 dates will probably be posted in December. Morganton, NC is usually in April.

You are correct, so I have corrected it.
