Don't know just when this was changed but the banner at the top has been changed from the red white & blue flag decoration to a black banner. The top right has a interesting quote. "The common law is the will of mankind, issuing from the life of the people." This quote is from C. Wilfred Jenks, who in the 1930's was a leading proponent of the "international law" movement. To bad they couldn't find a nice quote from one of our founders.

Could this be hackers or is Holder at it again?

It was changed after Holder took over, sometime in 2010 I believe. Fits given his Socialist beliefs and background.

Sometimes, I look at it all, and think, there is no way to get this country back headed in the right direction again. There has just been too much damage done.

We're not getting it back working within the system.

I did a bit searching on this and your right it had been changed quite some time ago and there are quite a few sites on this topic. Apparently Janet Reno was also a big fan of C. Wilfred Jenks as well as Holder. C. Wilfred Jenks was big into the social justice thing just BO and this rest of his kind.

I hope you're wrong, but I fear you're right in many respects.

After 23 years, I retired from DOJ in 2009, effective two days after I was eligible at 50, shortly after Holder was appointed. After seeing his actions under Reno in the early 1990's, I refused to work under the racist, and knew where he'd take the department. From those still in DOJ that I've stayed in contact with, my crystal ball was right, morale has gotten much worse, and folks are retiring as soon as possible.

Yep.......Social Justice is simply code for more entitlements and "free stuff" for those we taxpayers continue to support.

It changed a long time ago apparently, according to wayback.archive.org

In 2005 it was blue, not red/white/blue:
http://web.archive.org/web/20050101222835/http://www.justice.gov/

In 2007 it was red/white/blue:
http://web.archive.org/web/20070101122655/http://www.justice.gov/

It appears to have been changed to the current black banner in the fall of 2009.

So why did it take the Bush Administration 6 years to change it to red/white/blue??

Seriously people, worry about things that actually matter.

The problem at DOJ isn't the color of the stupid banner.

I believe it is the quote on the black background that concerns people the most. They couldn't find a appropriate quote from one of our founders rather than some social justice guy from another country?
