View Full Version : Car thread, Coolness factor.
Alright gt car guys help me out judging on pure coolness factor not price or power, which Automotive is "cooler"
1) 1970 Chevrolet suburban carry all 3 door, flat black red pin striping red powdercoated wheels with half moons and Beauty rings. lowered, 350 engine automatic tranny bucket seats. Kind of a "rat rod" look
2) 2012 dodge challenger r/t white with blue half stripe decals 20" chrome clad wheels sunroof hemi with automatic transmission

The Lada!
The Suburban. New Challengers are a dime a dozen.
Between those two? The Challenger.

Suburban by far. The Challenger is.... stupid.
the suburban. i'd orefer it without the rear windows but i'd still take it over the challenger, or any other current day vehicle for that matter.

That looks way too much like a hearse to ever be cool in my book.
I've wanted one of those old 3 door 'Burbs for a long time. No question for me which I'd choose.
If you're looking at one, look veeeeerrrrrryyyyy closely at every lower edge all the way around the truck. I've never seen one that wasn't doing an impressive impersonation of swiss cheese. Just double check that the rockers haven't just been mudded in and painted.
Neither, but if I HAD to choose between the two I'd say...
Neither.

Challenger by far, but why autotragic?
I think a 1970 Challenger or a 2012 Suburban would be cooler than either the 1970 Suburban or 2012 Challenger.
Challenger. Double that if you're white and older than 17.
I think a 1970 Challenger or a 2012 Suburban would be cooler than either.
I agree.

The Suburban was in the lead until I read lowered and beauty rings. Then the 'Burb ran smack into the wall, rolled over a dozen times, and exploded.
The Challenger lost a few points with the 20s, but not nearly as much as a lowered Suburban.

The suburban, if it were a 4x4, lifted with 35 inch tires. Otherwise...oh, hell, the suburban even if it is lowered.

The challenger is my buddies, We were just trying to settle the debate on which is cooler. He likes not shifting I guess. I plan on going to see the suburban this weekend. I need something to fit the kids and pull the boat. But still be a sweet daily. I have a 69 Chevelle SS. No third party needed to settle the cool debate on that one.

The 20s are stock. Neither of us like them either. 372 hp is sweet, but looking at the pic of the suburban the beauty rings look right to me.

This
Sent from the Titanic. I named my phone "The Titanic" so when I plug it into the computer it says "The Titanic is syncing".

Respectfully disagree, 2012 suburban is a no show on the cool list

The Challenger. BARELY. But seriously, why automatic?
If it were a resto-modded Suburban I'd definitely say that.

Neither, but the Challenger.
Love the Suburban... But why the So-Cal sticker on the back window?? Are people in Ohio so deluded that they think Southern California is still anything to idolize?
My son has this sticker on his Cougar:

I love the old three door Suburbans, although I prefer them lifted on 35's.
