That was cool! Haven't felt one in 15 yrs or so. Shook the whole garage. I thought it was a plane until I realized I was on the concrete floor.

Yep, I'm glad I'm not going crazy. The whole house just shook for about 5 seconds. I could feel it in my chair. Freaked me the heck out!
I've read the northeast is overdue for a big one.

I'm on the South Shore (Kingston), about 20 minutes from Dennis.
I was about to jump out of my chair and bail out the front door if it had gone on any longer. Wow...talk about a wake up.
Kinda odd how we North Easterners think that earthquakes are cool.....

It shook the house here in Concord NH. I guess the epicenter was only 50 miles from here. 4.6 man...

Glad you all are safe! Time to re-level all the pictures in your house... lol. I remember the Great Maryland Quake last year...it woke me from my nap and knocked over some DVDs sitting on the shelf... the horror.. the horror.

Mine too. I was just telling people that it was just a precursor to the end of the world on 12/21. It always starts as just a little rumble...

I sleep afternoons because I work nights so I slept through it. When I woke up my wife told me she was sitting on the couch and could definitely feel the tremors. She was afraid for a couple seconds but she said she would be more afraid to wake me up for no reason.

The sound was cool, too. I thought the heat exchanger was about to die. Then everything started moving.
It wasn't long, but another 5 seconds and I'd have been freaked out.
Lol@pic - my daughter had a similar one this am.
Man, you're lucky you felt it. I went through two earthquakes back in Illinois, slept through both of them. Slept through a tornado too. Woke up to people going "Oh man!!! Did you feel that earthquake last night? It woke me up, and my bed was shaking, it was cool!" And I'm like "Huh? What? What are you talking about?"
