My own brand of Cuban Coffee in one of the reusable mesh K-cups.
Green Mountain is without question my favorite brand as a whole. I like the Hazelnut one the best. (I am a big fan of hazelnut coffees)
While this isn't coffee/caffeine, the Spiced Apple by Grove Square is great for a hot drink on a cold day.

Pike Place Roast (http://www.starbucks.com/flash/pikeplaceroast/index.html)
Nantucket Blend (http://www.greenmountaincoffee.com/Coffee/K-Cup-Nantucket-Blend)
Those who use the mesh use your own coffee k-cups... How's it work?
Mine tends to taste weak when I use that.
I like the Extra Bold ones. My favorite is probably Tully's House Blend followed very closely by Green Mountain's Sumatran Reserve and Newman's Own. Sam's Club sometimes has the Newman's Own in 80 count boxes for $40.00 which is about the cheapest way I know to get it.

I think the fill your own k-cups are a PITA and defeat the whole purpose of the machine. I bought it because I want a good cup of coffee with no wait and no cleanup.

I don't have a K cup system. I wish I did. There are so many flavors and options. I have the Vue, so I have to use the Vue cups. I think my favorite is The Original Donut Shop.

Great suggestions! I almost bought the Sumatran and the Pike Place but settled on Green Mountain Pumpkin Spice. I'll give it a try tomorrow.
Are the Starbucks flavorings pretty decent? Their Via stuff is pretty good.

What is your favorite K cup?
K is a bit big for me. I prefer a reasonable and tasteful D or DD cup at the most.

I'm currently using Folgers but I also use Caribou.
Next time I'm buy the Columbian flavor regardless of the brand name.
I try to keep a small variety of flavors on hand for company.

I think the trick is to not pack the coffee in the cup too tightly. That way the water travels through it and not over the top. I have had occasional weak cups and that seems to be the common element. It seems to work best when I fill it to about 3/8" from the top.
Lately Mrs. Tiger and I have been using the self-fill cups just to save some money.

True but some of the best coffees only come in bean/ground type so its nice to have. I like getting the SMALL bags that will just give me a cup or 2 from time to time...yeah its a bit of a hassle but its really not THAT bad. But I get the point your making and for the most part thats why I got mine also...I got a bad of Dunkin Donuts coffee last Christmas....I had the patience to mess with it for about 1/2 a bag the rest of the bag is still 1/2 full sitting on top of the fridge lol./

That's true but the selection of K-cups is so large I think anyone can find something they like in a pre-packaged cup. In the '80s at one point I was serious enough to buy green Jamaica Blue Mountain beans and roast them in a hot air popcorn popper a couple of times a week then grind for each pot. Right now I'm enjoying a Green Mountain Sumatran Reserve. The first one was ready about a minute after I stumbled bleary eyed into the kitchen. That's the convenience I bought the Keurig for and why I love it.

Don't hate yourself! That is my favorite coffee! I haven't got the k-cup yet, but we drink the bagged kind every morning.
As far as k-cups I like the Pumpkin Spice that's out now. For unflavored I prefer the Caribou Blend.

I use the fill your own a good bit but I am using it with tea. It's faster than filling an infuser and easier to clean out. If I want several cups of tea at once, I will just use the tea pot and about half the time I get the hot water out of the Keruig instead of waiting for the tea pot to whistle.
For the coffee, we only use Newman's Own dark roast? I can't remember the name but we get it by the case at Sam's.

Tried a bunch of the so called Bold K cups.
Ended up with
DARK MATTER
I haven't found a stronger k-cup coffee than what I can make with a fill our own. Don't get me wrong, my filled stout fill your own is better BUT the idea of K-CUP is that it you don't have to fill it.
Again, Someone please tell me something stronger than DARK MATTER, I want it.

Mine tends to taste weak when I use that.
Use a fine (but not espresso) grind and fill all the way up w/ whatever coffee you like. I use the 10 oz setting to keep it strong.

I tried Green Mountain Pumpkin Spice today- it was meh. Tasted like clove water with a hint of coffee.
The Caribou Blend however, is phenomenal. On the bigger pour setting, it was still flavorful. I even ran the cup a second time on the smaller setting and it was still a decent cup of coffee.

MFI think that's my favorite too. I've been drinking Starbucks for almost 20 years now though so I've giving up hating myself for it.
