On a related topic, what kind of resources do you think are required to hack (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44706301/ns/technology_and_science-security/t/it-only-takes-hack-voting-machine/#.UIRJQtHyHz4) an electronic voting machine?

The way Citi is looting the treasury right now, why would they want that to stop? I can't imagine any large bank not wanting to keep the status quo.

I agree completely. Do you think it's worth it for banking interests to hack electronic voting machines?

The first murder case I ever worked was over $3.

From that point on, I realized that people would do some evil stuff for money.

Two things:
Of course Citi wants Obama to win. When all the Dodd-Frank regulations are implemented, only big banks will be able to comply, forcing the small banks to be gobbled up by the big ones.
Electronic voting machines are virtually impossible to hack. I know - I actually worked as an engineer for a voting machine company.

Did you go line by line through the code?

Hack the electronic machines that are currently out there? Not a whole heck of a lot.

If you want to hack the servers, some of the machines (don't remember which) use unprotected (no password) Microsoft Access databases and are attached to the internet, or at least have dial up access.

If you want to hack individual machines, that might require some actual hardware, like a paperclip, a USB drive with some modified software (info available on the internet, test machines from e-bay), and a few minutes of 'alone time' (voting) with the machine....

Doesn't that give you the warm and fuzzies?

Not line by line but familiar with the security. Could someone plant a piece of "back door" code? Maybe.
