Does matter where or how you hear or heard these songs, what are some songs you can not stand to hear?

Two for me come to mind, and it's because of the crappy radio stations my girlfriend listens to.

1. Sexy and I know it from lmao

2. Gangman style from psy

I cannot get these out of my head now, and it's driving me nuts.

I'll post to, just to torment you all as well.

Smart man...... I never put two and two together, I saw all the memes out there regarding this, and just the other week it was explained to me which crappy song it was. Now it seems whenever I heard whatever radio station she's listening to, they play it. :crying:

Agreed on the pink floyd. They sounded high in every song. My step dad hates it when I mock/ poke fun at pink floyd.

As far as most other classic rock, I'd have to disagree, led zeppelin and hendrix were beasts!

I'd have to agree with all this. The Doors, just annoying. Christmas music...can't handle any of it except for maybe the Eagle's cover of 'Please Come Home For Christmas'.

Wow...I just Googled this chick, that's horrible. I'll take some Anne & Nancy Wilson (back when women could sing). Brian Adams has some classics, but I do believe his best days have long passed. Nickleback...meh, a few decent songs but most everything they do is generic.

Now Rush...an epic band that deserves every single award or recognition that they have gotten.

I don't think I've ever met anybody that says, "Rush? They're okay". Everybody seems to think they're great, or completely despise their music. I can't stand their music, but Neil Peart seems like an interesting dude. I've read a couple of cool stories about some of his motorcycle adventures.

That "We are never ever ever getting back together" song. It comes on at least once every two visits to my gym. As I'm working out I get to hear some self-absorbed broad yammering on like an idiot. The spiteful thoughts it evokes as to what I'd like to do to some bimbo who talks like that are both against TOS on this site and the law, so I'll keep those to myself.

But I suppose on the upside, being annoyed beyond all belief helps me lift.

Oh yeah. Playing Moves Like Jagger or whatever the hell it is within 100 feet of me will get you shot a little.

Man, I love that song! Especially after they did it on the Victoria's Secret fashion show.

I don't mind the Maroon 5 version, but this cover, led by one of my favorite drummers, Meytal Cohen, is my current Song of the Day.

Instant station change when this trash comes on.

Crap, I just listened to the first few seconds and thought it may be good, and then the singing started...

I believe you're thinking of Europe - Final Countdown.

Rush has a song named "Countdown", but it's nowhere near the same.

Ugh, I did my time in retail too, listening to christmas music from mid October til New Years made me want to murder everyone around me.

There's a station around here that has probably started this yet still plays their old drop from a few years ago. "Your Christmas station from Thanksgiving to New Years" I think they even bleed into next year a few weeks.

On that note, my vote for this thread is any version of "Feliz Navidad"

Kidd Rock's music always pisses me off. Starts with a good, well-known song and then he effs it up.
Plus, he just looks like if I were in the same room with him, I'd get a funny taste in my mouth. It's hard to hate him as a person because of the charity stuff he does, but man I wish they would stop playing his music.

ETA: Dammit, now his crappy song based off of sweet home Alabama is stuck in my head.

Also, I don't mind "welcome to the jungle" but a few years ago when EVERY commercial used it kinda made me hate it.

I cannot stand any of the new music out. Country, rock, hip-hop, all that BS. I'll stick to anything from the 90's and before. Back when artists used to sing...

I must say though, I do like SOME new country, very little though.

I'm glad there is someone else out there who feels my pain. I know it's coming again soon and I'm dreading it.

Coming soon,no it's here and has been since August.Deck the friggin halls have been playing since Sept 10th.

My number one most hated song of all time is 'Can't we talk it over in bed:faint:.Second song i can't stand is picture by kid rock and Shery Crow.:faint:

Listening to more than 3 seconds of either one of these songs will cause me to start exracting my teeth with a pipe wrench and no pain killers.Infact i would rather free fall from the empire state building, land on my face than to even try to finish listening to these songs. After that any of these other hacks will cause my ears to bleed.

Paved paradise, put up a parking lot

Almost everything from Led Zepplin - just a grossly overrated band, I suspect the LSD had something to due with the fact that they all have about 3 lines and are 25 minutes long. . .end the freakin' song already.

Born in the USA from Bruce Springstein. I think it is because everyone thinks it is a nice little patriotic ditty. It is not, it is as anti-American as they come. Just listen to the words sometime.

Whoever did the version of "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd a few years back. Ronnie Van Zant must have turned over in his grave.

That would probably be Shinedown, and it was an awesome cover. However, they are also from Jacksonville, FL where Lynyrd Skynyrd is from and one of their former guitarists Jason Todd is married to Melody Van Zant (Ronnie Van Zant's daughter) so there are many reasons why they would cover a Lynyrd Skynyrd song.

Anything country, this new country music makes me want to pull my fingernails out with a pair of pliers.

Big country fan here. Had lots of really great country music in the late 80's and early 90's.

This new junk is hard to listen to. Luckily I have XM in my work car and my area has a classic country station.

I guess you could say I'm pretty picky. My favorite genres are post metal and symphonic black metal, though there are certainly songs and groups I enjoy from just about every genre, there are more misses than hits in the others.
